Yellowstone sex symbol Hassie Harrison lands major role on Baywatch reboot

Hassie Harrison has been cast in the upcoming Baywatch reboot from Fox and Fremantle.

The actress, 35, who plays Laramie on Yellowstone, is now joining the cast as Nat, a former foster child who becomes an Olympic athlete.

Deadline reports the character is a highly skilled lifeguard and a good friend to Hobie Buchannon, who is portrayed by Stephen Amell.

The movie will also star Thaddeus LaGrone as Brad, Jessica Belkin as Charlie Vale, and David Chokachi reprising his role as Cody Madison.

Filming for the new Baywatch series will start in Los Angeles this spring, and it’s expected to air on Fox during the 2026–2027 television season.

Harrison previously starred as Laramie in three seasons of Yellowstone.

I was so thrilled to see her in “Dangerous Animals”! It’s a really intense thriller, and she starred alongside Jai Courtney. They premiered it at Cannes Film Festival in 2025, and I couldn’t wait to see it!

According to Deadline, she just wrapped up filming “Deep Eddy,” a movie shot in Austin, Texas, about a writer trying to find his missing girlfriend.

According to reports, she is currently filming “The Rescue,” a Western thriller produced by Paramount, alongside Brandon Sklenar.

Her next project is a thriller called Raven, and she’ll be working with Anthony Mackie, Pablo Schreiber, Ben Foster, and Ron Livingston again.

The new Baywatch iteration will air for 12 episodes.

The series, which aired from 1989 to 2001, centered on the stories of lifeguards working on the beaches of Los Angeles.

The show featured David Hasselhoff as Mitch Buchanan and helped launch Pamela Anderson’s career, where she played C.J. Parker.

Despite consistently receiving poor reviews from critics, Baywatch was incredibly popular with audiences and became the world’s most-watched television show while it was on the air.

During its last two seasons, the show was renamed Baywatch: Hawaii, and Jason Momoa – who would later become a famous movie actor – became a cast member.

Last fall, Michael Thorn, President of Fox Television Network, told Variety that the original Baywatch was hugely popular and made lifeguards famous. He announced that the show is being revived with Fremantle, promising a new version for today’s audiences.

Fox and Fremantle, working with creators Matt Nix and Greg Bonann, are reimagining Baywatch for a new audience. The updated series will feature new stories, emerging actors, and the exciting action that made the original show a worldwide hit.

The reboot will follow Hobie as he plays a Baywatch Captain, just like his iconic father Mitch.

Things are shaken up when his daughter Charlie arrives in hopes to continue the family legacy.
