Beloved MCU Spider-Man Movie Coming to Peacock Soon

A popular Spider-Man movie starring Tom Holland will be available to stream next month. This announcement comes before the release of the next Spider-Man film, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which is scheduled to hit theaters on July 31, 2026.

When does Spider-Man: Homecoming arrive on Peacock?

Starting February 1st, you’ll be able to watch the 2017 film Spider-Man: Homecoming on Peacock. This movie marked Tom Holland’s first time leading a Spider-Man film, following his introduction to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Captain America: Civil War.

After his exciting adventure with the Avengers, Peter Parker goes back to living with Aunt May. With guidance from Tony Stark, he begins to accept his role as Spider-Man. However, he also wants to get back to a normal life, all while trying to prove he’s more than just a local hero. When the villainous Vulture appears, Peter will have to use his powers to protect everything he cares about.

As a huge movie fan, I remember being really excited for the first one, and it totally delivered! Jon Watts did a fantastic job co-writing and directing, and the cast was incredible – Robert Downey Jr., Zendaya, Michael Keaton, Marisa Tomei, even Jon Favreau and Gwyneth Paltrow popped up! It wasn’t just a fun watch either; it was a massive hit, bringing in over $880 million worldwide. And the best part? Critics and audiences loved it. It still boasts a 92% ‘Certified Fresh’ rating on Rotten Tomatoes, based on almost 400 reviews – a testament to how good it really was.

The popular 2017 film spawned two successful sequels, Far From Home (2019) and No Way Home (2021). Later this year, Tom Holland will reprise his role as Spider-Man in a fourth movie, titled Brand New Day, directed by Destin Daniel Cretton. He’ll be joined by Mark Ruffalo as Hulk and Jon Bernthal as the Punisher, and Sadie Sink will play a significant, yet currently unknown, character.
