LINE GetRich GO brings board-based dice gameplay, soft launches on mobile in select regions

Story Highlights

  • LINE GetRich GO has soft launched in Indonesia and Thailand on Android and iOS.
  • Players can attack rivals, steal resources, and upgrade buildings while unlock characters.
  • The gameplay similarities puts it in direct competition with Scopely’s hit MONOPOLY GO!

A new dice game called LINE GetRich GO has been released by LINE (LY Corporation). It’s currently available in a limited number of regions as a soft launch on both Android and iOS.

LINE GetRich GO features dice rolls, board movement, and landmark-building gameplay

The game involves rolling dice to move around a board and construct famous landmarks. As you play, you’ll collect and use Marbles, damage opponents’ landmarks, take their resources, and gain access to new characters, dice, and collectible stamps.

Plus, the game features fun mini-games and special events that give you bonus items. It’s also very social – you can work with friends, join teams, compete, or playfully sabotage each other by raiding landmarks.

LINE GetRich GO plays a lot like Scopely’s MONOPOLY GO!, and the name itself hints at that inspiration. Like in MONOPOLY GO!, you roll dice to move around a game board, earn money, improve your properties, participate in events, and compete with other players by attacking or taking from them.

MONOPOLY GO! is currently the most popular game of its kind, but LINE GetRich GO seems designed to appeal to players who like that same gameplay style but are looking for a new experience. It also has a more visually appealing design. Instead of taking players away from MONOPOLY GO!, it might end up attracting a similar audience alongside it.

LINE GetRich GO is currently available in Indonesia and Thailand. Players in those countries can download it for Android devices through the Google Play Store and for iPhones and iPads through the App Store. There’s no news yet about when the game will be released worldwide, so players in other regions will need to be patient.
