Pixar’s newest animated film, Hoppers, premiered in theaters on March 6, 2026. The movie centers around Mabel, a college student who loves animals, and her efforts to protect a cherished meadow in Beaverton.
To stop Mayor Jerry from building a highway, Mabel disguises herself as a robotic beaver, essentially transferring her consciousness into a mechanical body. She hopes to lure the animals back to their home. By the end of the story, Hoppers delivers a satisfying conclusion, bringing Mabel’s adventure and her friendships with the animals to a close.
Although Hoppers isn’t connected to a larger franchise, Pixar films often use scenes after the credits to hint at upcoming movies or just add a funny bit. Because of this, it’s natural to ask if Hoppers has anything extra after the credits roll.
Yes, Hoppers Has Two Credits Scenes
ScreenRant has confirmed that the movie Hoppers includes two scenes after the credits roll. Both scenes are funny and don’t hint at a sequel or future Pixar films. There’s a scene that plays during the credits, and another one that plays after they finish.
As the movie ended, I loved how they showed a live feed of the animals while SZA’s new song, “Save The Day,” played – it was a really cool touch. Then, just as I was starting to read the usual names rolling by, they surprised us with an extra scene! They kept the animals popping up on the sides of the screen throughout the credits, and finally, there was a little bonus scene featuring the Hoppers to finish everything off. It was a really thoughtful way to end the film.
With Hoppers, Pixar has now included a scene after the credits in 17 of its films. They started this practice with Monsters, Inc. and have also added short animations after the credits of movies like Ratatouille, WALL-E, and Incredibles 2. The most recent Pixar film to skip a post-credits scene was Elemental, released in 2023.
What Happens In Hoppers’ Post-Credits Scenes
Be warned – spoilers ahead for the scenes after the credits of Hoppers! The mid-credits scene features Loaf the beaver, Ellen the bear, and Tom Lizard hanging out in the forest. They’ve found the mask that once covered the face of Titus’ robot, and it looks just like Jerry’s face. The animals playfully take turns wearing the mask and making funny faces, until a bird flies by and steals it.
The scene after the credits in Hoppers connects back to an early joke. We revisit the home of the man Mabel speaks with while collecting signatures to protect the glade, and instead of signing the petition, he writes down his grocery list: eggs, milk, and bread.
In a scene after the credits, an elderly man answers his door to find the new insect queen waiting. She’s accompanied by an army of ants who carry groceries – milk, eggs, and bread – into his home. A note signed by Mabel reveals she’s the one who trained the insects to do his shopping.
How Hoppers’ Post-Credits Scene May Set Up A Sequel
Although both scenes are funny, the extra clip after the credits might hint at a possible sequel to Hoppers. It suggests Mabel can still understand and talk to the animals, even though the university has stopped funding the Hoppers project.
It wouldn’t be surprising if Mabel still had the ability to communicate with animals, or even control the beaver robot sometimes. She’s currently collaborating with Dr. Samantha “Sam” Fairfax, who is clearly interested in animal communication – one of her inventions is a collar that allows people to understand what their dogs are saying, similar to the one in the movie Up.
Because Mabel loves animals and going on adventures, the scenes after the credits of Hoppers suggest we might see more stories with her and her friends in the glade. It seems possible she’ll continue talking to animals and having new experiences with them.
