Jamie King has publicly responded after her husband, Austin Sosa, filed for divorce just months after their wedding. She said she was shocked by the news.
Forty-six-year-old King married Sosa after becoming engaged in July 2025, but reports indicate Sosa has now filed for divorce.
Now King has revealed her shock at learning Sosa had wanted to legally sever ties.
‘I was completely blindsided by the divorce filing, which came out of nowhere,’ she told Us Weekly.
She stated she was with Sosa the night before their divorce became public, and she genuinely believed they were working on fixing their relationship.
I spent time with Austin right before the news came out about our split. Like all couples, we faced some difficulties, but I truly thought we were trying to make things work.
King also recently made headlines after she was spotted with hotelier Vikram Chatwal.
She stated that any public discussions about their interactions have only been about work and are unrelated to this personal issue.
The actress, a mother to James, 12, and Leo, 10, from her previous marriage to Kyle Newman, is prioritizing her children right now.
TMZ reports that King and Sosa became engaged in July 2025 and later secretly married. The exact date of their wedding hasn’t been made public yet.
According to TMZ, Sosa filed for divorce on Thursday, but the details surrounding the split, including when they separated and the reason for the divorce, haven’t been made public.
The actress announced her engagement to People magazine in July, and her representative shared that she has a close relationship with his family.
King had ‘stayed with his parents’ after moving out of her Los Angeles residence earlier last year.
The representative said the celebrity is thrilled to experience this with her kids, who have a close and affectionate relationship with Austin and his family.
Her sons are still her main focus, and she respectfully requests privacy while they continue to support each other with love and thankfulness.
After 16 years of marriage, Taylor King and filmmaker Kyle Newman finalized their divorce in 2023.
After their separation, the couple engaged in a long and difficult legal dispute over their two sons. However, last March, Newman was awarded full physical custody of the children.
The judge also ordered that any visits with her sons must be supervised until she completes a six-month drug and alcohol treatment program.

The actress from Hart of Dixie also alleged that Newman misrepresented their relationship to the court to get sole custody of their children.

Just months after a secret wedding, Sosa has filed for divorce from King. This news follows reports of her recently spending time with hotelier Vikram Chatwal.
According to Page Six, the two were seen displaying affection at the famous Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood.
But a rep shut down the romance speculation between King and the Dream Hotel founder.
Around ten years prior, Chatwal was allegedly ordered to perform five days of community service after being found guilty of animal cruelty – specifically, harming animals and setting two dogs on fire – as well as reckless endangerment and property damage.
King also told Page Six that the rumors were false, explaining that she and Chatwal were simply discussing work.
She also confirmed that she was still engaged to Sosa at the time.
Chatwal was friends with celebrities like Lindsay Lohan, Nicky Hilton Rothschild, and Poppy Delevingne.
Two years prior, his 81-year-old father admitted guilt to illegally influencing a witness and breaking federal campaign finance laws. He did this by funneling over $180,000 in donations to three different candidates using other people’s names.
