Star Wars & Squid Game Actor’s Spy Thriller Is Leaving Hulu

The action thriller Hunt, featuring Lee Jung-jae from Squid Game, will be leaving Hulu soon. Subscribers have only a short time left this month to watch the South Korean movie before it’s no longer available on the streaming service.

Hunt leaves Hulu in March

The action thriller Hunt, featuring Lee Jung-jae from Squid Game, will be leaving Hulu on March 29, 2026. The film, which first came out in South Korean cinemas in August 2022, was also Lee Jung-jae’s first time directing a full-length movie.

The story takes place inside the Korean intelligence agency. Two teams – one handling foreign affairs, led by Park Pyong-ho, and the other domestic issues, led by Kim Jung-do – are given a critical mission: to find a North Korean spy, codenamed Donglim, who they suspect has infiltrated their ranks.

With confidential details being revealed, trust erodes between the parties, and both sides start to investigate each other. As the investigation unfolds, the agents discover a larger plot that threatens national security and could even put the South Korean president at risk.

I’m so excited about this movie! Lee Jung-jae plays Park Pyong-ho, and Jung Woo-sung is Kim Jung-do. The cast is amazing too – Jeon Hye-jin, Heo Sung-tae, and Go Youn-jung all have roles, and I can’t wait to see them play Bang Joo-kyung, Jang Cheol-seong, and Jo Yoo-jeong respectively.

When “Hunt” was released, reviews were mixed. Critics gave it a 68% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, averaging 56 reviews. However, audiences weren’t as impressed, giving the film a score of 45%.

Lee Jung-Jae, recently acclaimed for his role in Squid Game, proves his talent extends to directing and starring in action films with his new movie, Hunt. Critics at Cinapse describe it as a thrilling, fast-paced film packed with suspense, political intrigue, and exciting action sequences.
