Police in Ontario, Canada are investigating the death of 45-year-old Nancy Grewal, a social media influencer, who was fatally stabbed on Tuesday.
LaSalle Police Chief Michael Pearce stated that investigators believe the incident wasn’t a random attack.
According to Pearce, investigators are treating Grewal’s murder as a deliberate act, and they are looking into all available information as part of the investigation.
As a lifestyle expert, I often deal with the public’s need to know, and I understand it completely. However, when it comes to ongoing investigations, the police chief has made it clear they won’t be releasing details that could potentially hinder their work. That means things like specific leads, tips from the public, or the direction the investigation is taking won’t be shared right now, and honestly, that’s a smart move to ensure they can do their jobs effectively.
Police had initially reported the fatal stabbing happened shortly before 9:30 p.m. and appeared to be a one-time event.
Police said Grewal was taken to the hospital by ambulance after her injuries, but she later died there.
Daily Mail has reached out to police and Grewal’s family for further comment on the story.
Grewal had built a significant online presence, attracting over 13,000 followers on Instagram and 9,000 on YouTube with posts about lifestyle and fitness.
Grewal frequently talked about Canadian and Indian politics, as well as the political ties between the two nations.
Police blocked off two houses on the street where the murder happened Wednesday morning, the Windsor Star reported.
A series of evidence markers had been seen placed in the cordoned-off areas, the paper reported.
Police taped off a wooded area near where the killing happened, a newspaper reported.
On Wednesday, Alishaa Grewal shared a heartfelt tribute to her brother on Instagram, following his death.
It is with deep sadness that I share the news of my sister, Nancy Grewal’s, passing on March 3, 2026. – Alishaa
My heart is broken after losing my sister, who was my strength and my best friend. We will cherish her memory forever. Rest peacefully, my dear sister.
Her sister shared another post featuring a picture of the creator, with the message, ‘Signing off from this world.’ She also wrote, ‘Thank you for being a part of my journey.’
