New data from FlixPatrol shows that The Gray House is currently the fifth most-watched show on Prime Video in the US. It’s behind Cross Season 2, Young Sherlock, and 56 Days, but it’s actually more popular than Fallout Season 2, which was a top hit for most of February.
Despite receiving mixed reviews from critics and a lukewarm 6.5/10 rating from IMDb users, The Gray House has found success thanks to strong viewership on streaming platforms. While the initial reception wasn’t great, the series appears to have been rescued from failure by its streaming numbers.
The eight-part miniseries, executive produced by Kevin Costner and Morgan Freeman, is based on the real-life story of Elizabeth Van Lew (Mary-Louise Parker). During the Civil War, Van Lew ran a spy ring from her base in Richmond, Virginia, dedicated to helping the Union cause.
