RHOC star Braunwyn Windham-Burke’s stepfather dead at age 63 after brain cancer battle

Braunwyn Windham-Burke’s stepfather, Dr. Brian K. Herman, passed away at 63 after fighting brain cancer.

Herman’s wife, Dr. Deborah Windham, shared news of his passing, remembering him as a kind and wonderful person whose life was cut short.

She wrote a heartfelt message saying goodbye, calling him ‘king’ and expressing how much she loved him. She lamented his sudden passing at a young age, celebrating the full life they shared and how unbelievable it felt. She expressed deep gratitude for the 44 years they had together and for the positive impact he had on their children and the world.

My dearest, you’re finally at peace. These past few months were incredibly difficult as you shed old parts of yourself, but you were only worried about our feelings, never your own. You faced everything with grace, never complaining, and continued to give until your very last moment. The world has lost a truly kind, funny, and gifted healer.

Braunwyn also announced his passing in an emotional post, calling him an ‘amazing dad’ and ‘human.’

She shared that she was writing with a trembling hand, still trying to grasp what had happened. She described him as a wonderful father, grandfather, husband, and person. She said they were all together, supporting each other as they struggled to come to terms with his loss and figure out how to move forward. She ended with a loving message to her father, saying she loved him now and forever.

Fellow cast members from The Real Housewives offered their support, with Tamra Judge sharing, ‘Sending you love and prayers, my friend.’

Oh, my heart just breaks for everyone going through this. I always adored seeing all those sweet family videos and pictures – it was so clear how much love you all shared. Sending you the biggest hugs and so much love during this difficult time.

After earning his medical degree from UCLA, Herman became the Medical Director at Eisenhower Imaging Center.

Herman held multiple roles at the center, including Chief of Radiology and Chair of Interventional Neuroradiology within the Department of Radiology.
