Gogglebox star Amy Tapper shows off her incredible eight stone weight loss after using Mounjaro as she enjoys a city break to Amsterdam

Amy Tapper, known from the show Gogglebox, recently shared how much weight she’s lost – eight stone – while having fun with friends on a trip to Amsterdam.

The 26-year-old former Gogglebox participant has lost weight, going from a size 26 to a size 18, by taking medication and exercising regularly.

Amy shared glamorous photos on Instagram from a canal boat trip, showcasing her stunning makeover.

She shared a post saying a quick trip to Amsterdam with her close friend helped her feel like past problems were easily forgiven and forgotten.

Amy recently revealed doctors prescribed the jab just as she contemplated gastric bypass surgery.

Although she’s achieved significant weight loss and is successful, Amy has noticed excess skin and plans to have surgery to address it.

As a long-time follower, I was really touched by what she shared with the Daily Mail. She explained that losing a significant amount of weight – eight stone, and she anticipates losing more – means there’s going to be excess skin that just won’t tighten up with exercise alone. It’s a really honest and relatable point about the realities of massive weight loss.

‘It’s not possible, you know? It’s stones and stones of fat and it’s now just skin.

I’ll likely need surgery on my arms and stomach eventually, but my legs are doing alright.

She jokingly added: ‘These little side bad boys are really toning up.’

The TV personality, who became famous at age 13, is facing criticism online with some accusing her of using weight loss injections to unfairly achieve her results. However, she maintains that she’s consistently exercised to stay in shape.

It has also helped her try and tone some of the loose skin on her body.

Amy said: ‘I’ve been with the same personal trainer for five years.

I enjoy going to the gym regardless, and it really improves my week, especially when combined with taking Mounjaro.

Amy has been taking a 15mg weekly dose since February, which she worked her way up to from 2.5mg.

She lost five pounds in just one week while using the medication, and after six months, she had lost a total of four stone.

I’m still focusing on a healthier lifestyle by eating less and exercising more, and it’s working really well alongside my weight loss medication – they’re a great combination.

Amy is working with the online pharmacy Chemist4U to take back the phrase ‘eat less, move more.’ This comes after recent research showed that 70% of people taking medication for weight loss feel they are judged for using it.

DJ Fat Tony created a new house music track, appropriately titled ‘Already Doing It,’ for the campaign, and Amy appears in the accompanying music video.

Amy has been publicly documenting her weight loss journey, and many of her followers have praised her as inspiring. However, she’s also received negative and critical comments online.

Sadly, the scrutiny has caused considerable damage to Amy’s mental health.

During a recent interview on Good Morning Britain, she spoke candidly and said she considers herself resilient, adding that she’s capable of being much more self-critical than anyone else could be.

It definitely impacts me, because I’m not superhuman. I can be strong and confident, but after putting in so much effort, sometimes all I can do is laugh at the situation.

She explained that online harassment disrupts her peace of mind, and the advice to ‘eat less and move more’ feels like a deliberate insult.

If you’re combining exercise with weight loss medication, it’s a really effective combination, so I’m not sure what the concern is.

She urged others not to place too much power in the opinion of others.

‘I think you’re doomed if you do and doomed if you don’t so why not just do it?’ she concluded.

Chemist4U has started a big campaign against bullying, working with the National Bullying Helpline. They’ve teamed up with DJ Fat Tony and TV personality Amy Tapper to encourage a positive reinterpretation of the phrase ‘eat less, move more’.
