Amanda Holden, Ashley Roberts, and Jamie Theakston dressed up as characters from the classic story Mary Poppins for World Book Day.

The Heart Breakfast team celebrated World Book Day on Thursday by dressing up as characters from the classic film, Mary Poppins, based on P.L. Travers’s book.

Oh my gosh, the ‘Jolly Holiday’ scene! It’s just… magical! You have Bert and Mary, and they step into this unbelievably whimsical world, and it’s filled with the cutest animals! I mean, geese, pigs, even a penguin… a penguin working as a waiter! It’s honestly the most perfect scene ever, and it always takes my breath away.

For her costume, 55-year-old Amanda dressed as Mary, wearing a cream-colored gown with a white and red corset. She completed the look with a hat tied with a scarf and a delicate lace sun umbrella.

Jamie, age 55, perfectly captured the look of Bert, dressing in a classic white and red striped suit. He completed the outfit with a blue satin bowtie, a boater hat, and a wooden cane.

Ashley, age 44, went with a creative costume this year, dressing as a penguin waiter. She wore a fluffy penguin suit with a hood, plus fuzzy gloves and leg warmers.

Amanda’s dogs, Minnie and Rudie, joined the group, and they were also dressed in penguin costumes, finishing off everyone’s outfits for the day.

This follows Amanda’s recent photoshoot at Heart FM on Tuesday, where she showcased her legs in a stylish, fitted outfit.

The presenter, known for sharing her daily outfits with her fans, sat down in the office to reveal what she was wearing.

She wore a cropped utility jacket with defined shoulders and paired it with matching shorts that fell to her knees.

Amanda topped her outfit, by The Frankie Shop, with a pair of classic pointed toe stiletto heels. 

The radio host styled her hair in loose waves and relaxed in the studio while taking a photo for her social media update.

Ratings for Amanda Holden’s show, Britain’s Got Talent, reached a new low this weekend, leading to speculation the series might be cancelled. The show, also judged by Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon, and KSI, continues to lose viewers.

The popular show Britain’s Got Talent saw a drop in viewers, falling behind BBC’s Michael McIntyre’s Big Show, which attracted 3.5 million viewers. Gladiators also performed well, with 3 million tuning in to watch.

According to a Britain’s Got Talent representative, videos of the contestants from the latest episode received a total of 14.5 million views by Sunday morning. A significant portion of those views—7.8 million—came from videos of contestant Rafferty Coope.

Nicola McGeady from Ladbrokes noted that the viewing numbers for Britain’s Got Talent aren’t what they used to be.

‘As the numbers fall, so do the odds and we are now questioning the show’s future.’
