Maya Hawke seen with husband for first time since the nepo baby’s wedding in front of Stranger Things costars

They’ve kept a low profile since tying the knot earlier this year on Valentine’s Day.

Maya Hawke and her husband, Christian Lee Hutson, were seen together publicly for the first time as a married couple on Tuesday.

The 27-year-old, who comes from a family with connections in the entertainment industry, performed alongside Hutson, 35, at the 39th annual Tibet House US Benefit Concert held at Carnegie Hall in New York City.

Before announcing their marriage, Maya Hawke and her husband kept their relationship quiet, sharing the news with only a small group of people – including some of her ‘Stranger Things‘ co-stars, who were invited to their wedding.

Hawke and Hutson performed together at the benefit concert and had the opportunity to meet other performers, like Elvis Costello, who took a picture with them.

Hawke looked casual in a burgundy velvet top that she wore with its long sleeves rolled up. 

She paired it with a set of black slacks, along with a set of black leather dress shoes.

Hutson complemented her low-key look with a black turtleneck sweater and black trousers.

Before their performance, the couple relaxed and took some photos in a green room. Hawke sat on a sofa with an acoustic guitar resting on her lap, and they posed together.

Each musician played their own acoustic guitar during the performance, which was a comeback for the group at this year’s benefit concert. They hadn’t performed together since the 2024 event.

I was so excited to see Hawke perform! She shared a sneak peek of her new music yesterday – singing and playing guitar – and it was amazing. This came just after she announced she’s releasing a new album, which I’ve been waiting for!

The actress and musician is launching her new album, Maitreya Corso, on May 1st. To announce the release, she also shared the first single from the album, titled ‘Devil You Know’.

Her Valentine’s Day wedding to Hutson was attended by many famous faces and family members, including her parents, Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman.

Maya Hawke had plenty of support from her ‘Stranger Things’ co-stars while performing, with Finn Wolfhard, Sadie Sink, Joe Keery, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Caleb McLaughlin, and Gaten Matarazzo all in the audience.

Rumors of a romance between Hawke and Hutson began in 2023. Hawke has praised Hutson, calling him a ‘poet musical genius’ after he produced her album, Chaos Angel.

She previously dated singer Spencer Barnett and The Sandman star Tom Sturridge. 

Hawke said ‘I do’ while wearing a flowing white gown that had no sleeves, a full skirt, and a long train.

During the event, the actress added a white, feathery wrap to her outfit to stay warm.

I always say a beautiful hairstyle can really elevate a look! In this case, she chose a sophisticated updo, and I loved the touch of a delicate netted veil – it was placed perfectly at the back of her head for a really romantic feel.

The bride walked with her father, who briefly held her bouquet of white flowers to help her.

The actor from Before Sunrise wore a classic black suit with a black shirt for the event.

Thurman looked glamorous in a patterned blue dress while cheering on her daughter at the event.

She has two children, Hawke and Levon, with her ex-husband, the star of Gattaca. Their marriage ended in 2005 following reports of an affair between him and model Jen Perzow. He later married their former nanny, Ryan Shawhughes.

The groom wore a classic black tuxedo with a white shirt and black bowtie.

The bridesmaids at Hawke’s wedding wore white lace dresses and completed their looks with flower crowns.

Several of Noah Hawke’s co-stars from Stranger Things, including Sadie Sink, Caleb McLaughlin, and Gaten Matarazzo, were also seen walking to the event.

However, one of her co-stars David Harbour was notably absent from the nuptials. 

TMZ published photos showing the actor with an unidentified woman in New York City during Valentine’s Day weekend.

David Harbour, who was once married to singer Lily Allen, was seen walking with a woman in the city. They both dressed casually for the outing, and the woman had striking dark red hair.

The singer and Hutson met years ago, and they’ve since worked together on musical projects, eventually falling in love.

He assisted with her second studio album titled Moss as well as her 2024 LP Chaos Angel. 

Hawke also contributed to a song on Hutson’s 2024 album, Paradise Pop. Last year, she joined him on tour to promote his music.

Oh my gosh, when he finally dropped his album, she immediately posted about it on her Instagram! Like, a full-on shout-out to him! I nearly died, it was the sweetest thing ever and showed she really supports his music. I screenshotted it, obviously, and it’s still one of my favorite posts of all time!

Oh my gosh, she finally gave us a peek behind the scenes! She posted some clips from the studio while they were recording – it was like I was right there with them! And then… a picture of her with him and the other artists who worked on the track?! I seriously screamed. It’s everything I’ve ever wanted to see!

To mark the launch of her album, Chaos Angel, Hutson posted on Instagram, praising Hawke as a remarkably powerful and driven person.

You know, looking back on that project, it really was a turning point for me. I wrote at the time that it meant the world, and honestly, that’s an understatement. It completely changed my life for the better – in ways I can’t even fully express!

I’m incredibly grateful for Maya. She’s remarkably brave – one of the few people I know who has faced her deepest, most difficult emotions, brought them into the open, honestly looked at them, and ultimately accepted and loved herself, even the messy parts.

The artist concluded by saying that making the album was a life-changing experience, and expressed hope that it could have the same effect on listeners.

Rumors about a romance between Hawke and Huston began in 2023 after they were spotted kissing in New York City.

The couple first appeared together on the red carpet in April 2025 at the premiere of the Broadway show, John Proctor Is The Villain.

They smiled and held hands during a quick photo shoot.

Later that month, people started speculating about an engagement between Hawke and her partner when she was seen in New York City wearing a ring on her left hand.

In 2024, she discussed her relationship with Hutson on the Zach Sang Show, explaining that they were good friends before becoming a couple.

‘It’s the best,’ the actress expressed during the interview.

They truly see you – they recognize you’re a person with a past, someone who’s lived and loved before. They want you, not an idealized version of a girlfriend they’ve created in their minds.

Hutson is also supportive of her entertainment career in both acting and music. 

She told Variety that Hutson has been a huge support, helping her develop as a musician after starting out as a poet who performed with a band.

Ever since they started dating, the musician has popped up on her Instagram from time to time.

Hawke promoted his new music and also shared a photo of him and his partner at a Prada fashion show they went to last March.

Just before her Valentine’s Day wedding to Huston, the actress finished filming the fifth and last season of the Netflix series, Stranger Things.

The show officially concluded on New Year’s Eve. Hawke joined the regular cast starting in the third season.
