A producer for the Kyle & Jackie O Show has spoken out after the show was unexpectedly cancelled on Tuesday night.

Jaimee Blazquez, known as ‘Mayo,’ announced some sad news on social media Thursday. She’s been a producer and occasional on-air host for KIIS FM’s morning show since 2018.

Mayo shared a collection of photos showing happier moments with her former coworkers, Kyle Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson, along with a heartfelt and somber message.

“I’m honestly not sure what to share right now, or even how to begin,” Mayo said, clearly heartbroken by the recent events.

I’ve always wanted to work on this show, and I feel incredibly lucky to have spent the last nine years producing for Kyle & Jackie O. It’s been a real privilege.

‘We weren’t just a show but we were a family, so to see it end like this is heartbreaking.’

Mayo said she prefers to cherish the happy memories she has of working with Kyle and Jackie O, instead of dwelling on how things ended.

She reminded everyone that while opinions are plentiful, it’s important to remember KJ’s lasting impact and the many people they’ve motivated.

This follows a concerning forecast from a former radio producer regarding the future of Sandilands and Henderson after their breakfast show was unexpectedly cancelled.
