Claudia Winkleman looked fashionable as she headed into the BBC studios before the final episode of The Traitors.
The show’s host, age 54, has presented the BBC game show – which is filmed in a castle in the Scottish Highlands – since it first aired in 2022.
The season ends with a dramatic finale on Friday, where Rachel and Steven, the Traitors, will go head-to-head against the Faithfuls – Jack, Faraaz, Jade, and James – to see who will ultimately win.
Claudia, the show’s host, traveled to the BBC studios in London on Friday afternoon before the last episode was broadcast.
Claudia, looking very happy, will be on the last episode of Uncloaked to discuss the show with a live audience after it’s finished airing.
Claudia looked stylish for her filming day, wearing a grey houndstooth jacket with ‘JAM’ on the back, along with black leggings and large, chunky black patent leather boots.
The latest episode of The Traitors ended with a dramatic cliffhanger: Rachel Duffy, one of the Traitors, and James Baker, a Faithful player, were both facing possible elimination.
The players all got three votes, resulting in a tie. They had to play a random game to decide who would stay.
Everything hinges on the Chests of Chance. One of them holds a shield that will determine whether Rachel, suspected of being a traitor, or James, who remains loyal, will be saved.
Although the outcome wasn’t shown on TV, many viewers believe they’ve figured out who remains after the ‘Chests of Chance’ challenge, and they’ve criticized the BBC’s editing of Thursday’s episode, calling it messy.
Okay, seriously, I was watching The Traitors, and it completely blew my mind! I noticed something nobody else seemed to – Rachel was focused on something inside the box, but James was looking at the whole box! It was such a tiny detail, but it felt…off. Like, the editors totally missed an opportunity to highlight that! I’m rewatching it now just to confirm, but I swear it’s sloppy editing! I had to share it on X, it’s driving me crazy! #TheTraitors
Someone pointed out on social media that in the last round of #TheTraitors, the shield was hidden at the back of the box of chance. They questioned whether the producers would use the same hiding spot again this time.
The show’s creators would have been better off placing it closer to the competitors. Rachel made a smart decision by selecting the box in the back.
Someone noticed Rachel subtly reacted when she received the shield – a quick glance upwards gave it away! They’re sharing the observation online. #TheTraitorsUK #TheTraitors
However, one person didn’t think the outcome was clear, commenting, ‘I don’t think you could tell what was going to happen.’
Viewers will learn who is banished during the first part of Friday’s finale.
Daily Mail have contacted the BBC for comment.
Dr. Sam Brzezicki, a mathematician at Imperial College London, has used game theory to forecast who will probably win.
And according to his analysis, it’s not looking good for the Traitors.
He believes Jack and Faraaz will be able to solve the problem, noting they’re both intelligent. However, he added that it remains to be seen what the outcome will be.
Dr. Brzezicki uses game theory – a mathematical approach commonly applied to situations like elections and business deals – to support his analysis.
Game theory relies on spotting irrational play, which indicates players are more likely to leave.
After viewers suspected them throughout the show, Dr. Brzezicki believes Rachel, James, and Jade will probably all be eliminated.
That will leave Stephen, Jack, and Faraaz as the final three.
Dr. Brzezicki believes Stephen often makes unpredictable decisions, and Jack and Faraaz are likely to notice this pattern. He pointed out a confusing dynamic between Stephen and Fiona, where they defended each other despite Fiona being labeled a ‘Traitor.’ Despite briefly suspecting Rachel, Stephen then voted the same way as her, a pattern that’s continued throughout the latter half of the game.
According to the mathematician, Stephen’s biggest mistake wasn’t supporting Rachel in last night’s discussion.
According to Dr. Brzezicki, Stephen made a mistake by not eliminating Rachel from the game. Even if Rachel stays in for now, she’s likely to be voted out soon, and Stephen will get more negative attention for letting her continue. Removing her would have helped him hide his identity as the Traitor.
If he wins, he wants to keep all the prize money for himself and doesn’t want to share it with her. This was when he decided to exclude her completely.
The Traitors final airs tonight at 9pm on BBC One and iPlayer
