Emotional Kelly Osbourne makes surprise Masked Singer cameo for Ozzy-themed show… after firing back at ‘cruel’ body-shaming trolls

Kelly Osbourne unexpectedly appeared as a guest judge on the recent Ozzfest-themed episode of The Masked Singer.

Kelly Osbourne, the 41-year-old daughter of Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne, received a warm welcome from the audience when she took her seat with the other judges.

This happened shortly after she defended herself against harsh criticism about her body following her appearance at the 2026 BRIT Awards last weekend.

Oh my gosh, seeing Sharon Osbourne back on the show was EVERYTHING! Nick Cannon, being the amazing host he is, immediately greeted her and I could just feel how excited she was to be back – he actually asked her how it felt, and you could just tell she was thrilled! It was such a perfect moment, honestly.

“To be honest, this is quite emotional,” the TV personality shared. “But I’m really thankful for the opportunity to be here.”

On Wednesday’s episode of The Masked Singer, a contestant honored her father, a famous rock musician who died on July 22, 2025, at age 76.

Osbourne has actually been on the Fox competition show before, famously appearing as the Ladybug in season two.

‘This is tough!’ she admitted about being one of the judges for the special episode.

The star remembered how stressful it is to perform in a costume, explaining that it can be completely overwhelming. Now, as a judge, they feel much more understanding because they recognize how much effort performers put into their routines.

Late in the show, a contestant named Pangolin sent a heartfelt message to Osbourne, hinting at their identity.

Dressed in full costume, they approached Kelly and offered their support, saying, ‘We know you’re going through an incredibly difficult time, and you don’t have to face it by yourself.’

The camera focused on Osbourne, who was visibly emotional, with tears welling up in her eyes. She then put her hands over her heart.

Pangolin went on to say, ‘We’ve all been lucky to celebrate your father tonight, and we hope we’ve helped you feel comfortable and at ease, even if just for a little while.’

Jenny McCarthy, one of the show’s hosts, said she was getting emotional, and Sharon Osbourne quietly agreed, saying she felt the same way.

Pangolin then gave an emotional performance of the late rock star’s song Mama, I’m Coming Home.

The judges all stood and applauded the performance, with Osbourne exclaiming, “That was absolutely incredible!”

With tears in her eyes, she said, ‘Thank you, thank you so much. You performed the most difficult song for me tonight, and you did an amazing job – your singing was beautiful.’

Osbourne confessed he was fighting back tears. Pangolin responded by explaining the performance was dedicated to Osbourne’s daughter, Kelly. He shared that he’d prayed before going on stage, focusing on making the night about her, not himself.

Osbourne momentarily covered her face with her hands as the audience burst into applause, showing their support.

Just one day after sharing a deeply personal message about being there for loved ones – explaining she understands the pain of feeling alone – the star made a surprise appearance on The Masked Singer.

On Tuesday, she posted on Instagram to respond to criticism about her body, saying it came during a very difficult period in her life.

It was so frustrating to see Kelly Osbourne having to explain herself again after the BRIT Awards on Saturday. She and her mom, Sharon, were there to accept a beautiful Lifetime Achievement award for her dad, and honestly, it should have been all about celebrating him, not about comments on how she looks. It just feels unfair that she constantly has to deal with that.

Following criticism of her looks, Osbourne shared a supportive message from Mia Tyler, daughter of Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler. Mia questioned why people couldn’t simply be kind, asking, ‘How hard is it to not be a dk?’

Right after the BRIT Awards, Osbourne strongly criticized online trolls, accusing them of focusing on someone’s looks instead of celebrating their bravery.

It’s particularly cruel to hurt someone who is already suffering.

It really hurts when you put me down when I’m already struggling, dismiss my feelings, talk about my problems with others, and then aren’t there for me when I need you most…

These actions don’t demonstrate strength, but rather a serious lack of integrity. I’m facing an incredibly difficult period right now, and I shouldn’t need to justify myself. However, I refuse to let anyone treat me with such disrespect.

She took photos with Sharon at the awards show. Both mother and daughter wore black as they arrived at the Co-op Live Arena.

I was absolutely captivated by Kelly Osbourne’s look! She wore this incredible black dress, and to stay cozy on the red carpet, she paired it with a gorgeous, matching feathered jacket. It was a perfect combination of chic and practical!

Sharon chose a classic black suit for the event and happily posed for photos with her daughter before accepting the emotional award on behalf of Ozzy.

People have become genuinely worried about Kelly’s health and wellbeing lately, noticing her attendance at many public events, such as London Fashion Week where she sat in the front row.

The singer and TV star, who has said she hasn’t used weight loss drugs, appeared much thinner at a recent fashion show in Mayfair’s Claridge’s hotel.

Kelly Osbourne shared a screenshot on Instagram of a cruel message she received. It said she looked like ‘a dead body,’ commenting on her weight and fragility, and suggested she would soon pass away, followed by laughing emojis.

The mother of one shared her outrage on Monday, responding to the post and writing, ‘I’m shocked and disgusted by how cruel some people can be. No one should have to experience this kind of abuse!’
