Katie Price has officially married her fourth husband, Lee Andrews, with a private ceremony in Dubai. Unlike some previous marriages, they haven’t created a prenuptial agreement.
Fans were surprised when the 47-year-old former model married the 41-year-old man she’d recently become engaged to, in Dubai in January. The wedding happened just two days after their engagement.
The Daily Mail reported that the wedding wasn’t legally binding; it was purely a symbolic event.
The event was held at the luxurious One and Only Royal Mirage hotel in Dubai, a five-star resort located on the Palm Jumeirah island, where rooms cost around £600 per night.
Recent records confirm that Katie and Lee officially married on February 17th at the judicial department in Abu Dhabi.
The photos show the couple dressed comfortably, with Katie wearing jeans and a sweatshirt during their wedding ceremony.
Despite the quickness of their marriage, Katie strongly defended her husband, Lee, stating he’s not a fraud and that she’s incredibly happy with him – happier than she’s ever been.
Katie shared that she trusts her new husband completely, so she chose not to get a prenuptial agreement before their quick wedding.
The TV star also spoke about worries from her family and the accusations leveled by his former partners. She also stated that reports about his money, business skills, and connections to other celebrities were untrue.
She firmly stated she’s intelligent and explained that Lee, who has previously claimed to be very wealthy, has provided documents to verify his financial status. He’s also shown her proof that he recently purchased his £36 million Dubai home with cash.
Katie also made sure to do her research, talking to Lee’s father and his former wife, Cezara, who is Russian. She believes Lee meets all her requirements.
She shared with The Sun that she’d never felt a connection quite like this before, saying it went beyond physical attraction. She described an immediate and deep connection with him, and explained that she had fallen in love with him before they became intimate.
Oh my gosh, you will NOT believe how they met! Apparently, Lee popped up as a suggested follow on Instagram, and she just had to message him. She actually slid into his DMs! They started talking, and I mean really talking – like five hours a day sometimes! It was insane. And then, finally, they met up… in Dubai! Can you even imagine? It’s like a dream come true, honestly. I’ve been checking their socials constantly ever since!
Those close to her were surprised by the sudden wedding, and have reportedly voiced worries that it might be a scam.
Despite her family’s concerns, Katie brushed them off, explaining she wasn’t a child anymore and that her life wasn’t typical, so they needed to respect her independence and allow her to live as she chose.
She understood why her family was worried, explaining that it was natural for them to feel that way. They loved her and had supported her through many difficult and painful experiences.
I understand why they’re upset and angry – they care about me, and I care about them. But I’m 47 years old now, and I need to make my own decisions. I need them to respect my need to explore this for myself.
Katie’s sister, Sophie, has already expressed her unhappiness with Katie’s recent marriage and suggested their podcast will be on hold for a while.
After the wedding announcement and a particularly difficult week, she posted a video of the British countryside in January, writing, ‘This, instead of Dubai,’ suggesting a preference for staying home.
Last month, she shared a video clip from Dr. Gabor Maté, a physician, which discussed how families can cope with challenging situations. This sharing seemed significant and offered insight into her own views.
The video concludes with a message of hopeful support, saying, ‘I won’t try to make you different. I just hope you eventually realize things for yourself, and I’ll be here for you no matter what.’
Although her five children haven’t met her new partner yet, her oldest, Princess, 18, and Junior, 20, shared on the show This Morning last month that they just want their mother to be happy.
I was really struck by what Princess said – she honestly admitted she hadn’t even met him yet. And then Junior chimed in, explaining that our mum is fiercely independent and will always make her own choices. We fully support her, as long as she’s happy, and that’s what matters most to us.
He said her happiness was all that mattered, and Princess agreed, adding that they were happy as long as she was too.
Lee and Katie insist they are deeply in love and plan to have a larger wedding in the UK with loved ones, even though Lee’s former partner, Alana Percival, repeatedly claims he’s legally obligated to stay in the UAE.
Despite portraying himself as a successful businessman, the Daily Mail reported that he’s actually been prohibited from leaving Dubai. He was reportedly held in a UAE jail for three weeks and accused of illegally signing his former girlfriend’s name to obtain a £200,000 loan.
Last year, he reportedly used personal trainer Dina Taji’s name to apply for a mortgage without her permission.
Lee told the Daily Mail it was ‘complete b******s’ that he couldn’t leave.
Since getting married, Katie has made two trips home by herself, even though Lee promised to accompany her on both occasions.
Rumors circulated that they planned a honeymoon trip, but they actually stayed in Dubai.
Lee announced on social media that Katie will be traveling back to Dubai. Due to the current situation in the Middle East – following strikes on Iran by the US and Israel – she’ll be flying into Oman, where Lee will meet her.
Flights are becoming available again, though there are some delays. If you can’t find a flight directly, Oman is a nearby option, as it’s one of our neighboring countries.
I’m keeping some details to myself, but the idea was for Katie to fly to that location, and I’d go to Oman to get her and bring her back. That’s just what you do in a marriage built on love – you do everything you can, don’t you? Or am I thinking about this wrong?
Because of ongoing instability and recent military actions in the United Arab Emirates, the UAE government is advising people not to travel there.
Flights in and out of Dubai and Abu Dhabi could be affected by sudden changes to UAE airspace. This is happening because of ongoing conflicts in the Middle East, following recent military actions against Iran. Travelers should be aware that these conflicts may lead to increased travel restrictions and disruptions throughout the region.
