Savannah Chrisley hit with a federal warning over ‘misleading’ claims on her weight loss website

Savannah Chrisley received a federal warning that her website selling weight loss prescriptions made false and misleading statements about GLP-1 medications.

According to TMZ, the 28-year-old reality TV star received a letter last month from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) after they examined her GoodGirlRX website.

The FDA disagreed with claims her company made regarding its compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide medications.

They said her use of terms like ‘FDA-approved medications,’ ‘FDA-approved treatments,’ and ‘clinically proven GLP-1 results’ was deceptive.

The letter explained that the customized medications sold on her website haven’t been approved by the FDA. It also stated that she was giving the impression these products had been tested for safety and effectiveness, which wasn’t true.

The Daily Mail has reached out to Chrisley for comment.

Chrisley was informed the website broke federal law and was given 15 business days to fix it, or risk legal action.

It appears the star has already made some changes on the website to comply.

The phrase ‘clinically proven results’ has been changed to ‘clinically studied results.’

The website also features disclaimers saying the GLP-1 drugs are not FDA-approved.

Chrisley explained to TMZ that the problem wasn’t about patients being unsafe, but simply a disagreement over the words used.

The issue concerned the language used on our website, and didn’t involve any concerns about patient safety. No penalties or disciplinary measures were taken. We’re committed to connecting women with qualified doctors and appreciate the FDA’s feedback.

Chrisley launched her website in March 2025.

The website provides various weight loss options, including medications like Semaglutide (found in Ozempic/Wegovy) and Tirzepatide (found in Mounjaro/Zepbound), which are available as compounded formulas.

Last November, Chrisley shared that she was planning to use medication to help her lose the 25 pounds she’d been aiming for.

In a recent episode of her podcast, Unlocked, the reality TV star shared with her mother, Julie, that she wants to lose weight and achieve a slimmer figure, as she’s been unhappy with her weight changing over time.

I’ve always had ups and downs with my weight,” the actress shared. “Right now, I’m around 160 pounds, maybe even a little more. I feel my best when I weigh about 135 pounds.” She is 5 feet 7 inches tall.

Chrisley shared that she’d previously attempted weight loss through injections, but found it difficult to continue because the medication suppressed her appetite too much.

The toughest thing is definitely when I’m filming and can’t eat. I find myself thinking, “I really miss food!”

This time, she assured me she was determined to lose weight and intended to use a medication called tirzepatide, which is a GLP-1 injection.

She mentioned wanting to resume taking her medication, and shared that her company, Good Girl RX, is now offering tirzepatide.

She shared with her fans that she had recent blood tests to check her overall health levels before resuming her injections.

Tirzepatide is injected once weekly and must be administered on the same day each week.

The Mayo Clinic states this medication is primarily for type 2 diabetes, but it can also help people with obesity—specifically those whose weight issues are related to certain medical conditions—lose weight and maintain a healthy weight.

Chrisley explained she opted for tirzepatide because it causes fewer side effects than other weight-loss medications like Ozempic.

‘I love tirzepatide, which is great. … So then I can compare my bloodwork before taking it and after taking it and see where my biological age is, how my A1C is, all those things,’ she explained.

Oh my gosh, you guys, she said she and her mom, Julie, are tackling this together! It’s SO sweet! And Julie actually said she’s hoping to lose 20 pounds! I’m living for this mother-daughter duo and their journey! It just makes everything even more inspiring, honestly!

Chrisley believes everyone deserves to feel comfortable and confident in their own body, and personally, she’s striving to lose weight.

She jokingly said she’d like to get so thin that people would worry about her health. But she quickly added that she definitely didn’t want to get that skinny – she still wanted to keep her figure.

Okay, so listen, it’s just… I need to get back to a weight where I feel good in my clothes, you know? It’s awful when you reach for your favorite jeans and they just… don’t button. Seriously, it’s driving me crazy! I just have to lose some weight, it’s that simple. I’m obsessed with fitting back into everything!
