Maggie Gyllenhaal and Peter Sarsgaard make the rare move of bringing their teen daughters to a premiere

Power couple Maggie Gyllenhaal and Peter Sarsgaard made a rare move on Tuesday evening.

The married actors brought both their daughters to a splashy movie premiere in New York City.

A family of four attended the premiere of the horror movie, The Bride!, at Jazz at Lincoln Center in Manhattan.

Their daughters are teenagers Ramona and Gloria Sarsgaard.

Maggie’s mother, Naomi Foner Gyllenhaal, was also at the event. She’s a well-known screenwriter, famous for her work on films like Running On Empty and Bee Season.

“The Bride!” is a family affair – Maggie directed and produced the film, and stars alongside her brother, Jake Gyllenhaal, who also makes an appearance.

The 48-year-old movie director looked stylish at the premiere, wearing a sleek black dress adorned with crystals on the shoulders.

She completed her dazzling ensemble with sophisticated black stilettos and diamond jewelry.

She posed alongside her 54-year-old husband Peter, who stars as Jake Wiles in the upcoming release.

Maggie’s actor brother Jake Gyllenhaal also appears in the star-studded film.

Maggie and Peter got married in 2009, eight years after they first met. Peter looked handsome in a classic black suit and tie at the wedding.

The pair later appeared together in a film called In God’s Hands, which was produced by Steven Soderbergh but never officially released.

They then welcomed their two daughters, Ramona, 19, and Gloria, 13.

Oh my gosh, Jessie Buckley IS the Creature! It’s just… perfect casting. And Christian Bale? He’s playing the Monster himself! I still can’t believe it, seeing those two together on screen is going to be absolutely incredible. I’ve been waiting for this casting news for ages!

The movie is set in 1930s Chicago and tells the story of Frankenstein seeking Dr. Euphronius’s assistance in building a companion.

Bringing a murdered woman back to life as the Bride ignites a passionate love story, draws the attention of the police, and ultimately leads to sweeping changes in society.

Maggie shared that she feels fortunate to share her life with her husband, an artist she deeply admires, explaining that mutual respect is key to their lasting connection.

She enjoys discussing his thoughts and the challenges he’s facing, she shared in an interview with the Sunday Times.

After all this time, I’ve really learned to read him. I just know when he’s starting to get tired of whatever I’m going on about. It’s like I can feel it when he’s had enough.

She explained that they should get to know each other without discussing work, as he wasn’t interested in that right now – he simply wanted to enjoy dinner together.

Earlier this month, Peter, known for his role in the movie Flightplan, shared details about his many years of marriage to Maggie in an interview with PEOPLE magazine.

We share the workload, taking turns so everyone gets a chance to contribute. It’s important to let others have their moment before stepping in yourself.

‘There is great value in that,’ he told the publication.
