Could Nine Inch Nails be touring for the last time?

Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross may stop performing live, but they’ll likely continue to create music. Nine Inch Nails recently released a follow-up to the 2025 soundtrack for Tron: Ares. This new album features some original tracks, but is largely made up of remixes from the first soundtrack.
It’s been a while since Nine Inch Nails released a completely original album – the last one was Ghosts VI: Locusts, a free download from 2020. The Tron soundtrack featured new music, but it wasn’t entirely original, as it built upon existing ideas. Hopefully, we’ll get a fresh, original album from them soon.
