Limbus Company, a single-player, turn-based RPG from Project Moon, is celebrating its 3rd anniversary with events running on all servers until March 26th, 2026. The game’s director recently shared a livestream outlining upcoming updates and content, primarily leading up to Canto10, which is expected around August (though the date may change). Here’s a breakdown of everything that was announced.

All the Major things revealed in the Roadmap

Let me list down all the new and exciting things coming in the future updates.

Season 7 Mirror Dungeon Overhaul

As a huge fan, I was a little disappointed when the Mirror Dungeon first launched with Season 7 – it felt a bit empty. But the mid-anni update is going to fix all of that! They’re adding tons of new content, like a bunch of new nodes to explore, relics we can craft, and some really cool new enemies and bosses (I don’t want to ruin the surprises!). But the best part? They’re bringing back Infinite Dungeon mode, which I’ve been waiting for!

The 8th and 9th Walpurgisnacht Night

The highly anticipated event has returned to Limbus Company as part of the 3rd Anniversary celebration! This event features special, collectible characters, exclusive rewards, a story that references past games, two brand new 3-Star characters, and a new Ego skill for the character Sinclair.

During his recent stream, the director hinted at the upcoming 9th Walpurgisnacht event, which will center around the Library of Ruina game. Players can expect it to follow the release of the new story content and the rerun of Refraction Railway Line 2.

Skins for Sinners

The director hinted at a new skin system for characters during the livestream, but didn’t share any details about the skins themselves, how the system will work, or how it will impact purchasing options. However, it’s likely the system will involve some form of payment. It will be interesting to see which character receives the first skin.

Event Reruns and new story notes for our Main Character, Dante

The game will soon rerun the LCB Regular Check-Up and Nocturnal Sweeping events. While you can replay older events, you can only earn the special rewards during the rerun period. Additionally, Dante will receive new story details, and players can look forward to new boss battles connected to these events and the next chapter of the game.

Main Story Chapter 9.5 Part 1 and Part 2

Following Canto 9 and leading into Canto 10, we’ll release a two-part story that resolves several unanswered questions and plot threads. This story will also feature Bamboo Hatted Kim, who wasn’t present in the main story for Canto 9. Expect the story to fill in gaps between events, revisit past moments, and include some smaller updates.

Refraction Railway Line 6 and the reopening of the Refraction Railway Line 2

Players who have been requesting more content after the main game can rejoice! A new Railway Line is on its way, offering a tough challenge for managers and testing their teams’ strategies. Plus, those who didn’t get to experience the previous ‘Refraction Railway’ can now play ‘Railway Line 2’ and earn its rewards.

Canto 10

The next major update, Canto 10, will be inspired by the novel The Stranger and will center around the character of Mersault. Currently, we only have a brief preview and an estimated release timeframe of August. However, we do know the end date for season 7 and the start date for season 8, which should allow both new and experienced players to focus on completing the current season without worrying about deadlines.

The QOLs and Auto Battler option

The game’s upcoming updates will include several improvements to make the experience more enjoyable. Players can look forward to more customization options for the user interface, including the ability to drag and drop Sinners for deployment. There will be more announcer lines and loadout slots, with a preset option available. Farming in Luxcavation will be easier with a new multi-battle feature. Players will also be able to change the loading screen artwork, toggle the UI display on characters during battles, and change the lobby music. Finally, the theatre will receive new content.

Final thoughts

Now that we’ve covered all the new features, updates, and events, the big question is whether they’ll be successful. Hopefully, everything goes as planned.
