Gemma Collins abandons plans to move to Dubai in favour of the British countryside amid the ongoing war in the Middle East

Gemma Collins has changed her mind about moving to Dubai and is now planning to live in the British countryside instead, due to the current conflict in the Middle East.

Gemma Collins, 45, has stated she wouldn’t want to move to the UAE with her fiancé Rami Hawash and his son Tristan, seven, because she’d miss the UK too much.

Gemma explained that she only started considering a move because the UK winter weather was proving difficult for her.

She recently told New! magazine that despite living elsewhere, her heart truly belongs in the UK. She expressed her deep love for Britain, specifically enjoying traditions like afternoon tea and the experience of being in London, especially seeing Big Ben. She feels she’s a huge advocate for the UK.

I often find myself thinking about moving to Dubai, especially during the winter. I struggle with seasonal depression, and the idea of a warmer climate becomes really appealing around that time of year.

Honestly, as much as I adore my time in Dubai – it’s just so glamorous and I love being able to dress so comfortably in kaftans all day – I couldn’t ever leave the UK for good. It’s a bit of a cliché, but my heart really is in the English countryside, and I feel a strong connection to the people here. So, despite how much I enjoy the luxury of Dubai, I’m definitely staying put in the UK.

The exact timing of Gemma’s interview isn’t clear, but it happened shortly after Iran launched air strikes in response to joint US-Israeli military actions against Iran. These strikes targeted the United Arab Emirates and other locations, causing considerable damage, particularly in the popular city of Dubai.

Gemma shared on Tuesday that she’s having a relaxing getaway in the Cotswolds, appreciating the peaceful atmosphere and leisurely mornings.

She shared a short video of her time in the Cotswolds with a caption describing the area as comforting and restorative, like being wrapped in a soft blanket for the soul.

For me, the good life isn’t about grand gestures, it’s about those simple, sensory moments. It’s waking up slowly with sunlight warming the walls, breathing in air that just feels good, and embracing the cozy mess of everyday living – like leaving muddy boots by the door and lighting candles simply to create a warm atmosphere. It’s about savoring those little luxuries, not needing a reason.

Leaving the city behind means trading traffic and hustle for the sounds of nature and a slower pace. You discover that true luxury isn’t about extravagance—it’s often found in simple moments of quiet. Like enjoying a pub lunch with friends after a good walk in the countryside.

Life in the Cotswolds is peaceful and gentle, not loud or overwhelming. Once you experience it, you discover that true improvement comes from finding inner calm. It’s more than just a location; it’s a state of mind.

Gemma recently shared that she’s been selling clothes she’s only worn once on Vinted, after losing three stone and going from a size 26 to a size 20.

The TV personality has been incredibly open about her journey on Mounjaro weight loss jabs.

Gemma has dealt with weight issues for years and has spoken openly about fearing for her life after a painful gastric bypass surgery.

Gemma, who has recently lost weight and gone down dress sizes, is now selling her clothes on Vinted. She promoted her Vinted page on her Instagram Story on Friday.

She posted some photos of the items that are up for grabs and wrote: ‘Have you seen my Vinted!’

The TV personality is selling a large collection of 153 clothing items on Vinted, including colorful tops, swimsuits, and dresses.

She has posted items in sizes 20 to 30, with prices ranging from £3 to £40.

Gemma has been sharing her weight loss progress with her Instagram followers, documenting her journey from a size 26 to a size 20.

She shared that she lost weight in just three months using Mounjaro injections.

She admitted to secretly taking small doses of Mounjaro because she was worried the weight loss drug was causing her severe health problems.

Gemma recently told the Daily Mail she experienced a gallbladder attack in August, causing her to collapse from pain.

Gemma has returned to using a weight loss medication after a break, and has already seen positive results, dropping from a size 26 to a size 20 and losing 3.5 stone.

Gemma explained to The Mirror that she paused her Mounjaro injections temporarily after experiencing a gallbladder attack in August. However, doctors have confirmed the two issues aren’t related.

I’ve been taking it easy and watching my diet. I’m thinking about trying microdosing because it seems like you avoid the stronger effects that come with larger doses.

Gemma gradually increased her medication, starting with a 2.5mg dose and eventually reaching a maximum of 15mg per week.

She struggled with weight loss for a long time, and even tried the now-discontinued drug Reductil as a teenager. Things became easier after she started using Mounjaro.

Gemma has shared that dieting makes her feel extremely depressed, even to the point of having suicidal thoughts. For years, she’s been carefully measuring food portions and relying heavily on a diet of boiled eggs.

The celebrity had previously undergone a secret procedure to insert a gastric balloon, but felt incredibly sick afterward and feared for her life.

It was a terrifying experience, and I deeply regret my decision. I genuinely believed my life was in danger, and I was so shaken up I couldn’t even get out of bed. The stomach pain was excruciating, like something didn’t belong inside me.

Gemma felt so sick, even water made her vomit, after the procedure. She called the hospital, desperate for them to remove the balloon.
