Jesy Nelson’s ‘ex-fiancé’ Zion Foster shows support for the singer after ‘traumatic moments’ following their twin daughters’ diagnosis

Okay, so I’ve been following Jesy Nelson forever, and even though she and Zion Foster aren’t together anymore, it seriously warmed my heart to see him stepping up for her. Apparently, things have been unbelievably tough since their little twin daughters got that awful diagnosis, and he’s publicly showing her support. It’s just…so good to see, especially after everything she’s been through. It feels like a really mature thing to do, and honestly, I’m a little emotional about it!

The 34-year-old singer shared that their eight-month-old twins, Story Monroe and Ocean Jade, were diagnosed at birth with a rare genetic condition called Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) Type 1. This condition causes weakness and loss of muscle mass.

Jesy and her fiancé, a 26-year-old rapper, reportedly ended their three-year relationship following her diagnosis. They had gotten engaged in September 2025.

Jesy Nelson’s upcoming Amazon documentary, Jesy Nelson: Life After Little Mix, which will be released on February 13th, will follow her and her partner as they prepare to become parents.

Even though rumors say they’ve split up, Zion shared details about his and Jesy’s challenging but eventful year on Instagram this Friday.

Zion shared that the past year was difficult for his family, filled with upsetting experiences, and expressed hope for understanding, calm, and personal development.

Jesy and Zion recently separated, shortly after sharing the news that their eight-month-old twin daughters have been diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA).

The pair will remain ‘united as co-parents’ despite ending their romantic relationship.

A source said: ‘She and Zion remain friends and are fully focused on their daughters.’

Before going on to tell The Sun: ‘Their priority continues to be the well-being of their daughters.

In the preview for her documentary, Jesy became emotional while explaining she had always remained silent about her time in Little Mix because she made the decision to leave the group.

Jesy Nelson rose to fame with Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jade Thirlwall, and Perrie Edwards as part of the group Little Mix, after appearing on The X Factor in 2011.

After winning the show, the singer faced harsh online criticism about her appearance, which negatively affected her mental health. This ultimately led to her leaving the band in 2020.

Jesy said the documentary is so painful to watch following her twins’ diagnosis.

Type 1 Spinal Muscular Atrophy is the most serious form of the condition. Symptoms usually start in babies and include severe muscle weakness, trouble swallowing, and breathing problems.

Jesy is now working to have babies screened for Spinal Muscular Atrophy type 1 (SMA1) shortly after birth. She’s started a petition to include the condition in the standard newborn blood screening test, which is done using a simple heel prick.

Jesy is pregnant with twins and the show follows her journey as she experiences the happiness, anxieties, and challenges of expecting two babies.

The series documents Jesy’s challenging pregnancy, including a rare and dangerous condition called Twin-to-Twin Transfusion Syndrome, and the emotional difficulties she faced.
