Nicole Kidman totes $8,500 Chanel bag in NYC after revealing she learned how to perform a real autopsy

Nicole Kidman used an umbrella to protect herself from the rain while entering a fancy five-star hotel in Midtown Manhattan on Tuesday.

The 58-year-old Academy Award winner stepped out in a black blazer and loose-fitting trousers with boots. She carried a large, dark-brown Chanel shopping bag made of calfskin, which costs $8,500.

Nicole Kidman shielded her remarkably smooth, pale skin with dark sunglasses, but her blonde hair remained perfectly styled despite the light winter rain.

The Australian actress, who was born in Hawaii, was recently spotted out and about just after sharing that she trained in performing actual autopsies for her role as a forensic pathologist in the Amazon Prime Video series, Scarpetta.

Nicole Kidman confidently stated on NBC’s The Tonight Show that she is capable of performing an autopsy, including removing and identifying all of the organs.

‘I can remove the lungs and the liver and the gallbladder and the intestines.’

When Jimmy Fallon asked the AMC Theaters ambassador how she gained her knowledge, she explained that it was a requirement of her work. She also mentioned learning from and studying a highly skilled medical examiner.

The Nashville, Tennessee medical examiner’s office – the same location where Nicole Kidman filmed the ‘Scarpetta’ series – provides a free online course on how to certify deaths.

Patricia Arquette plays and executive produced the role of Dr. Kay Scarpetta in a new eight-part mystery series about a serial killer, debuting March 11th on Prime Video.

Nicole Kidman explained that the show centers around a medical examiner returning to work after a 30-year break, and it explores connections between two crimes – one happening now and another from three decades ago.

It all starts with a really intriguing setup, but then things get complicated with all the family issues. And honestly, if you’re anything like me and love a good crime thriller – and so many people do! – you’ll be completely hooked.

The new TV series based on Patricia Cornwell’s popular novels was created by Liz Sarnoff and stars Jamie Lee Curtis, Ariana DeBose, Bobby Cannavale, Simon Baker, and Sosie Bacon.

Jimmy Fallon avoided talking about Nicole Kidman’s recent divorce from her husband of 19 years, Keith Urban, which became official on January 6th.

The 58-year-old singer, who is constantly on tour, is expected to spend 59 days with his daughters, Sunday, 17, and Faith, 15, in 2026. Meanwhile, Nicole Kidman will have primary custody, spending 306 days of the year with the girls.

Sources say Urban was planning a luxurious trip to the Bahamas with his daughters during their school break in early March.

According to a source who spoke to Radar Online on Tuesday, he wishes Nicole would join them, but she’s still upset, and he’s realized that probably won’t happen.

He’s prioritizing his relationship with his daughters and wants to reassure them that he cares for them just as much as ever, especially since he has some things to discuss with them.

Nicole Kidman and her ex-husband, Tom Cruise, adopted two children – a daughter, Isabella, who is now 33, and a son, Connor, who is 31 – during their marriage, which lasted for ten years and ended in 2001.

Nicole Kidman recently finished filming her part as the witch Gillian Owens in the sequel to ‘Practical Magic,’ alongside Sandra Bullock. The movie was shot in England over a period of two months.

The pair are also working on the highly anticipated follow-up to the 1998 hit film directed by Griffin Dunne, with a US release date set for September 18th.

Along with her work on Blossom Films, the producer is also involved in several other upcoming projects. These include the legal series Discretion for A24, the Apple TV+ series Margo’s Got Money Troubles, Girls and Their Horses for Amazon Prime Video, and the Neon horror-thriller The Young People. She’s also set to return for a third season of HBO Max’s Big Little Lies and the Paramount+ spy thriller Lioness.
