Selena Gomez reveals plans to start a family with Benny Blanco… after fans begged her to divorce him over his feet

Selena Gomez has revealed the type of family she dreams of having. 

The 33-year-old singer, who married music producer Benny Blanco last year, hopes to one day have a large family and enjoy dinners with her grown-up children.

The design was inspired by a memorable scene from the holiday movie The Family Stone, featuring Diane Keaton as the mother of a big family.

Selena Gomez shared her desire to have a big family while appearing on her husband’s podcast, Friends Keep Secrets.

‘I want four,’ she said of the number of children she wants before bringing up The Family Stone. 

She described a dinner scene with Keaton and her children that has stayed with her, saying it always evokes a positive feeling.

I told someone that when I reach her age, I hope we’re still sharing meals together at the dinner table. I don’t want to just accept whatever happens – if we can only have one, I don’t want to be in a situation where we have none at all. It’s just… we don’t know what the future holds.

I always envisioned a scene with everyone gathered around a dinner table – couples, families, and individuals – a really lovely and diverse group of people.

‘So it’s actually going to be crazy hell for all those years until they become adults,’ she said. 

Gomez has been open about her desire to become a mother.

I was really saddened to learn, through her Vanity Fair interview in 2024, that she’s unable to carry children due to medical reasons. It was the first time she’d spoken about it, and it felt very personal to hear her share that vulnerability.

She explained that she needed time to come to terms with not being able to have children naturally, following years of struggling with lupus – a long-term illness where the body mistakenly attacks its own tissues.

Selena Gomez revealed in a recent interview that she is physically unable to carry her own children. She stated she had never spoken about this before.

I have significant health problems that could seriously risk both my life and the baby’s. It took me time to come to terms with that loss.

Selena Gomez admitted becoming a mother might look different for her, but she remains very determined to have children someday.

‘It’s not necessarily the way I envisioned it. I thought it would happen the way it happens for everyone,’ she said.

I’m feeling much more positive about my options now. I’m grateful there are kind people who choose to be surrogates or adoptive parents – both are real possibilities for me to consider.

This new information from Gomez follows a recent reaction from listeners of her and her husband’s podcast, who were bothered by his unwashed feet.

Last month, Blanco released the first episode of his podcast, ‘Friends Keep Secrets,’ which he co-hosts with Lil Dicky and his wife, Kristin Batalucco.

Some viewers noticed and were bothered by the dirt on Blanca’s bare feet while she was relaxing on the sofa.

Many fans reacted negatively to the artist, calling him ‘disgusting,’ and some urged his wife, Gomez – whom he married in 2025 – to leave him.

Honestly, the comments were brutal. Someone straight-up said this person needed a shower and a new cleaning service, and another just wrote ‘I am HORRIFIED!’ It was pretty shocking to see, even for me, and I follow everything they do.

One X user expressed shock just seconds into a recent podcast, writing, “I can’t believe this…” Another user reacted strongly to something seen on the podcast, saying, “The fact that his feet are that dirty makes me feel sick – what is going on?”

One person wrote that the situation was ‘disgusting’ and wondered how Selena was coping, while another urged her to leave her husband and find a better partner.

However, Gomez doesn’t seem to mind the dirty feet at all – she actually kissed them on their most recent podcast episode.
