The trailer for season 15 of Death in Paradise is here, offering fans their first glimpse of Siobhan Finneran, known for her role in Happy Valley. The new trailer, released on the show’s Instagram, hints at another series of puzzling murders taking place on the island of Saint Marie.
Finneran briefly appears in the trailer looking anxious, but her character’s role in the new season is still a mystery.
This season of Happy Valley will feature guest appearances by Steffan Rhodri (known from Gavin & Stacey), Ben Willbond (Ghosts), Scarlett Alice Johnson (EastEnders), and Ace Bhatti (Malpractice).

The trailer also revealed that Selwyn, played by Don Warrington and a popular character with viewers, will be returning to the island to take back his job as Commissioner, all while a backdrop of danger, investigations, and even talk of murder unfolds.
The new season will likely present significant challenges. The season’s description reveals that Commissioner Selwyn Patterson is working to regain the island’s trust after being away, with encouragement from his friend Catherine Bordey.

Viewers are seeing Mervin (Don Gilet) connect with his brother Solomon (Daniel Ward) after many years, but their reunion isn’t without its difficulties.
So, I was really excited to finally meet my half-brother, Solomon, and thought we’d instantly click. But honestly, it’s been kind of disappointing. Turns out, we don’t really have much in common at all, and it’s making things awkward. I was hoping for a close connection, but it’s just not happening.
There’s more to come, as the BBC hints at “many strange mysteries”, including one where, based on the preview, Mervin ends up tied up.

This season, Sergeant Mattie Fletcher, played by Catherine Garton, is joining the investigation team. She’s replacing Officer Darlene Curtis, played by Ginny Holder, who is leaving after seven years with the show.
This week, it was announced that Darlene Curtis will be leaving the show. The actress Ginny Holder, who played Officer Curtis, is a valued member of the cast, and everyone is thankful for her contributions to the series.
“We wish her all the best – maybe we’ll catch up with her in Saint Marie down the line!”
