Kelly Osbourne’s heartbreaking words after grief-stricken star hit back at cruel trolls who continue to dissect her appearance following beloved dad Ozzy’s death

Kelly Osbourne recently shared a deeply personal reason for always supporting her loved ones: she understands the pain of feeling alone and unsupported.

Kelly Osbourne shared a post to Instagram Stories on Tuesday responding to criticism about her body, saying it occurred during a very difficult period in her life.

Kelly, 41, and her mother, Sharon, 73, have been leaning on each other since Ozzy passed away in July. However, dealing with grief can be a lonely experience, and it’s been especially difficult for them with unkind comments appearing online.

Kelly had to address comments about how she looked after the BRIT Awards on Saturday. She and Sharon accepted a Lifetime Achievement award honoring her father, who had passed away.

Sharon did most of the speaking, but Kelly nervously held her mother’s arm. She finished by saying ‘up the villa,’ a nod to her father’s favorite football team.

Kelly responded to criticism about her looks by sharing a message of support from Mia Tyler, the 47-year-old daughter of Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler. Mia’s post questioned why people couldn’t simply be kind, asking, ‘How hard is it to not be a jerk?’

The statement explained that while people may publicly mourn, grief is a personal experience. Experiencing loss can profoundly change someone, and that change—and their body—shouldn’t be a subject of public discussion.

Think twice before criticizing someone’s appearance. They might be dealing with personal struggles you know nothing about.

It’s incredibly brave to publicly accept honors for a beloved father who has passed away, especially while managing your own emotions in front of everyone.

We should respond with the same kindness we hope to receive. Being kind doesn’t require any effort, but being cruel reveals a flaw in someone’s character. It’s disheartening how often people focus on judging appearances instead of appreciating someone’s bravery.

‘If you have the kind of energy to comment, you have the energy to be kind. Choose accordingly.’

At the BRIT Awards, the Daily Mail’s entertainment reporters had a quick chat with Kelly while Sharon was catching up with friends at a nearby table.

She was exceptionally kind and friendly. When we complimented her outfit, she returned the favor, mentioning she enjoys attending red carpet events as a fun opportunity to dress up.

Right after the BRIT Awards, Kelly criticized online trolls, calling their focus on someone’s looks instead of their bravery ‘cruel’.

She pointed out that it’s particularly cruel to hurt someone who is already suffering.

It really hurts when you criticize me when I’m already struggling, dismiss my feelings, talk about my problems with others, and then aren’t there for me when I need you most…

These actions don’t demonstrate strength, but rather a deep lack of integrity. I’m facing an incredibly difficult period in my life, and I shouldn’t have to justify myself. However, I refuse to let anyone treat me with such disrespect.

She took photos with Sharon, and both mother and daughter wore black outfits as they entered the Co-op Live Arena.

I always say a great outfit isn’t just about the look, it’s about comfort too! Kelly nailed it at the event with a gorgeous black dress, and she stayed cozy and chic by layering a matching feathered jacket over it. It was the perfect balance of style and practicality – a total win!

Sharon chose a classic black suit for the occasion and happily posed with her daughter before accepting the poignant award given in Ozzy’s honor.

People have recently become genuinely worried about Kelly’s health, especially after she attended several public events, including a noticeable appearance in the front row at London Fashion Week on Sunday.

The singer and TV star, who has said she hasn’t used weight loss injections, appeared much thinner at a recent fashion show in Mayfair’s Claridge’s hotel.

Kelly shared a screenshot on Instagram of a cruel message she received. It said she looked ‘like a dead body,’ commenting on her thin frame and suggesting she was unwell, ending with laughing emojis.

The mother of one shared her outrage on Monday, responding to the post and writing, ‘I’m shocked by how awful some people can be! No one should have to experience this kind of mistreatment.’
