HBO’s new dark comedy, DTF St. Louis, delivers a compelling blend of sex, deceit, and murder. Stranger Things star David Harbour plays Floyd Smernitch, a man who gets caught in a complicated love triangle after joining a dating app. Encouraged by his friend Clark Forrest (Jason Bateman), a local weatherman, Floyd hopes to revitalize his marriage by signing up to DTF St. Louis.
The trailer suggests Floyd is hiding something: he’s secretly having an affair with his wife, Carol, played by Linda Cardellini.
The show, featuring Joy Sunday from Wednesday along with Richard Jenkins and Peter Sarsgaard, premiered on HBO in the US and Sky Atlantic in the UK. You can now watch it streaming on HBO Max and Sky Go.

DTF St. Louis starts like a typical story about cheating, but it quickly becomes much more unsettling – and dangerous, with a murder thrown into the mix.
After Floyd is discovered dead, Detective Donoghue Homer (Richard Jenkins) begins the investigation, first believing it was a natural death. However, another detective, Jodie Plumb (played by Sunday), specializing in serious crimes, thinks something isn’t right and suspects foul play.

Jodie had a feeling something wasn’t right, so she and Homer started investigating DTF St. Louis. They questioned Clark and Carol, trying to find out if they had anything to do with Floyd’s death.
The show recently premiered, with new episodes released every Monday until April 12th. Despite only being a few episodes in, it’s already been certified fresh on Rotten Tomatoes, earning an 81% rating based on 26 reviews.
The Spool calls the show a must-see, describing it as both disturbing and powerfully captivating. They note it’s a “feel-bad” watch that’s hard to look away from.

Decider suggests giving “DTF St. Louis” a chance after the first episode. They acknowledge it starts a bit strangely, but believe viewers who stick with it will find a unique and compelling mystery beginning with episode 2.
Variety also commends the lead actors’ well-balanced performances, noting how their interactions create a fascinating and sometimes mysterious dynamic.
DTF St. Louis airs on HBO and Sky Atlantic and streams on HBO Max and Sky Go.
