Lisa Rinna is sharing details about her intimate life with husband Harry Hamlin in her new memoir, ‘You Better Believe I’m Gonna Talk About’.
Former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, 62, and her husband, a 74-year-old actor, have been married for nearly three decades, and she says their intimacy is still very strong.
She wrote that their physical intimacy remained strong due to continued mutual attraction.
‘Even if we don’t do it as often, when we do, it’s as good as it’s ever been,’ she continued.
‘After all these years, Harry and I still feel like a team.’
Rinna also shut down longstanding rumors around Hamlin’s sexuality.
Rumors began after Hamlin’s role in the 1982 movie Making Love, a film centered around a married man’s relationship with another man.
The movie was revolutionary for openly portraying a same-sex relationship when Hollywood generally avoided such topics. However, it also led to years of speculation about the actor Hamlin’s own sexuality.
Okay, let’s address this directly. I want to put an end to the speculation: Harry is straight. As many of you know, my husband, Harry Hamlin, and I have been happily married since 1997, and we’re proud parents to two wonderful daughters.
She emphasized that he is definitely not gay, and quickly added that there’s absolutely nothing wrong with being gay.
‘Mainstream films about gay men are still rare today, but back then it was unheard of.’
This isn’t the first book to share details about Rinna’s personal life.
In her 2009 self-help book, Rinna detailed a technique for performing oral sex, sharing one of her well-known methods.
Delilah Belle, her daughter, shared on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills that a certain book served as her sex education.
‘I was like 12 when I said this,’ Delilah said. ‘It literally teaches you how to give head.’
Delilah’s younger sister Amelia Gray then added, ‘Very precisely.’
Rinna was deeply embarrassed to realize her own children had read the book. She said she never imagined they would.
Rinna has been getting a lot of attention lately because of her new book and her appearance on the show, The Traitors.
In her new book, the actress doesn’t shy away from sharing controversial details, including naming who she considers Hollywood’s most intimidating figure and revealing behind-the-scenes stories about her former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills castmates.
She also criticized Andy Cohen, her previous boss, for sharing her personal text messages in his book.
Cohen later publicly apologised to Rinna when she appeared on Watch What Happens Live last week.
Lisa Rinna recently told Cosmopolitan that she decided to write her book and wanted to feature Andy Cohen in it, explaining her reasons in an interview earlier this month.
More than anything, I just want to share my perspective. I’m past the age where I’m interested in getting even with anyone,” she explained.
The celebrity explained that ‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ didn’t accurately portray her personality, and she felt strongly about correcting that misrepresentation.
I’m publishing this book to tell my story, exactly as I lived it, without anyone changing or censoring it. And I want everyone to know – I’m not pulling any punches. I’m being completely honest about everything,” she said.
Rinna has since made amends with Cohen, revealing on SiriusXM that she’s ‘fine with the guy’ now.
