Coleen Rooney was spotted without her wedding ring on Monday, marking her first public appearance since photos emerged of her husband, Wayne, looking unsteady while partying with two women at a pre-BRIT Awards event over the weekend.
The 40-year-old retired soccer player was in Manchester preparing for a music event and stayed out late.
Witnesses say he had trouble keeping his pants up when he left the hotel restroom. He was then seen with a group of friends, including singer Calum Scott.
Photos published by The Sun show him drinking and chatting with several women for about two hours. He then left with one of them, and the two drove off in separate cars around 3:25 a.m.
Coleen was seen out and about in Cheshire on Monday afternoon, doing errands and grocery shopping at Sainsbury’s after a busy weekend.
She wore a simple white puffer coat and dark brown workout clothes, and she appeared understandably sad.
I couldn’t help but overhear some chatter the other night, and it really highlighted the situation. Someone actually wondered what Coleen would make of everything, and another person commented that Wayne just didn’t seem to be doing well. It was a sad moment, honestly, seeing him like that and hearing the concern from those around him.
Wayne and Coleen have been married since 2008 and have four sons: Kai, 16, Klay, 12, Kit, 10, and Cass, 8.
Someone told us that people who spotted Wayne were immediately wondering what his wife, Coleen, would think about it. She wasn’t around at the time.

He walked off by himself and went outside, where a small crowd had gathered. He got into a car, and about eight minutes later, a taxi arrived to pick up the woman.
The Daily Mail have contacted Wayne Rooney’s representatives for comment.
Wayne shared last year that he credits his wife with saving him from alcoholism and helping him stop drinking, saying he wouldn’t be alive today without her support.
Coleen has faced public accusations of infidelity involving her husband, including a widely reported incident from his teenage years when he was caught with three prostitutes. This caused a national scandal.

Apparently, he supposedly paid £140 to a woman named Charlotte Glover, who was 21 at the time, for… well, you can imagine. It was shocking, honestly, and I remember being totally stunned when I read it. It felt so wrong considering how much I admired him!
Reports also alleged that he had sexual encounters with Gina McCarrick, age 37 at the time, and Patricia Tierney, a 48-year-old grandmother, at a Liverpool brothel.
Devastated Coleen stood by her man but didn’t comment publicly on the claims.
In a 2023 Amazon Prime documentary about her husband’s life and football career, Coleen openly talked about his infidelity.
She thanked her parents, Colette and Tony, for always being there for her. She also shared that a major reason she stayed in her marriage, even when her husband, Wayne, was unfaithful and struggled with alcohol, was for the sake of their children.

It’s so easy to get caught up in what other people think – I’ve heard the whispers, the ‘why would she go back?’ – but ultimately, it’s your life and your happiness that matter most.
I definitely value the opinions of the people I care about, especially my parents, who always help me stay positive. I believe we can handle anything life throws at us, and that’s how I approach challenges – by calmly figuring out solutions and seeing if we can make things work. And so far, we have! We’re not overly affectionate, but we enjoy having fun and work together really well.
