Jurassic World Rebirth is roaring to streaming success.
The Jurassic Park and Jurassic World films are among the most famous science fiction movie series ever made. They’re considered classics, alongside franchises like Star Wars, Alien, Avatar, and Dune. The series began in 1993 with Steven Spielberg’s original film, Jurassic Park.
The popular dinosaur franchise has had three successful runs in live-action movies. It began with the original Jurassic Park films featuring Sam Neill, Laura Dern, and Jeff Goldblum. Then, Jurassic World, starring Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, continued the story. A new chapter began in 2025 with Jurassic World Rebirth, which refreshed the series and introduced a new leading cast.
Jurassic World Rebirth is now the number one movie on Netflix in the U.S. It quickly reached the top spot after becoming available nationwide on February 28th. The film, starring Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Bailey, and Mahershala Ali, continues the Jurassic World story after the conclusion of the previous trilogy featuring Chris Pratt and Dallas Howard.
Jurassic World Rebirth is currently performing well on Netflix in the United States, surpassing other popular titles like Firebreak, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning, and KPop Demon Hunters. According to FlixPatrol, the movie is also gaining traction internationally, ranking 5th in Australia and 7th in New Zealand.
The latest Jurassic World movie is quickly becoming a hit on streaming! FlixPatrol reports that Jurassic World Rebirth is currently the most-watched movie globally on HBO Max. It’s beating out popular films like the first two Mummy movies starring Brendan Fraser, the comedy Not Another Teen Movie, and Tom Hardy’s Locke, among others.
I’m not surprised everyone’s loving Jurassic World Rebirth! I’ve noticed it’s absolutely dominating HBO Max – it’s currently the most-watched movie in 20 countries, including places like Argentina, Chile, and Mexico. And it did really well in theaters too, bringing in a total of $869.1 million worldwide. Considering it cost around $180 million to make, that’s a fantastic result, and proves how much people enjoyed it!
Despite its release, Jurassic World Rebirth earned less at the box office than any other film in the Jurassic World series, and it didn’t reach $1 billion in sales. While a sequel hasn’t been officially announced, rumors began circulating in February about a potential new movie called Jurassic World Liberation. Given the film’s popularity on streaming platforms like Netflix and HBO Max, discussions about a follow-up are likely to gain momentum soon.
