Okay, seriously, Rose Byrne just gets it! She was talking to Tatler, and she said being a mom is the best role she’s ever played, which, honestly, same! It’s not just about the hard work, she says it’s actually empowering being a mother, and the photos are stunning. I’m obsessed with her even more now, if that’s possible!
The 46-year-old actress and her partner, actor Bobby Cannavale, have two sons together: Rocco, born in 2016, and Rafael, born in 2017.
Rose, recently nominated for an Oscar for her work in the film If I Had Legs I’d Kick You, says she considers being a mother her most fulfilling role.
In an interview with Tatler accompanying a beautiful photoshoot, Rose described her current role as “the greatest of my life.”
It sounds cliché, but it’s true. It’s deeply fulfilling and makes you feel strong, yet there’s also a sadness that comes with it.
She also shared that even someone you’d expect to find it easy says it’s incredibly challenging, but ultimately, it’s a fantastic story.
Rose and Bobby had known each other for years through friends, but they officially met in 2012.
Even though they’re famous movie stars, the couple mostly live a normal life at home with their family.
She said: ‘We go home and it’s very like, “Hey, who’s gonna do the dishes?”‘
For her Tatler photoshoot, Rose looked stunning in a cream-colored satin dress with a single shoulder strap. The dress featured delicate ruching and a floral detail, and she posed gracefully on a staircase.
For the photoshoot, Rose wore a vintage-inspired outfit featuring a fitted corset, delicate tulle ruffles and feathers, and a layered skirt.
For her last outfit, Rose wore a sparkling brown dress with a high neckline, tasseled details, and flowing sleeves.
Rose recently shared that she’s found being a mother difficult, and confessed that it’s common to feel guilt or like you’ve lost your identity during this time.
Oh my gosh, Rose just talked about her new movie, ‘If I Had Legs I’d Kick You,’ and it’s EVERYTHING! She said she really connects with her character because of motherhood, and honestly? It makes so much sense. She just gets it, you know? It’s like she’s not just acting, she is this character, and it’s amazing!
She described how the ongoing needs of raising children can sometimes make it hard for parents to remember that their kids are individuals with their own personalities and feelings.
She shared with The Times that she’s definitely experienced that feeling as a parent, and that it comes with a sense of shame.
Rose explained that while loving your child is wonderful, becoming a mother also involves a sense of loss. You lose a part of who you were before, and that’s something you can’t get back. She believes it’s healthy and normal to feel sad about that change – it truly marks a turning point in your life.
It comes after Rose scored her first-ever Oscars nomination.
Following her Golden Globe victory, the Australian actress has received a nomination for Best Actress for her role in the film If I Had Legs I’d Kick You.
She told The Hollywood Reporter she was overwhelmed, feeling like she’d unexpectedly found herself in a special position. Considering the history, grandeur, and sheer size of the event, it’s impossible not to appreciate its importance. Being a small part of such a long-standing and iconic tradition feels incredible.
She shared that her husband, Bobby Cannavale, and their children went to pick up their new bearded dragon while she was attending the Golden Globes.
‘He’s doing well! It’s for the kids. The kids are very happy,’ she added.
While accepting her Golden Globe award, Rose shared that her brother George accompanied her and explained the unusual reason her husband, a US actor, couldn’t be there.
She thanked her husband, Bobby, explaining he wasn’t present because he was at a reptile show in New Jersey – they’re getting a bearded dragon!
Rose is a strong contender for the Academy Award, but she’ll face tough competition from Jessie Buckley, another Golden Globe winner, as well as Kate Hudson, Renate Reinsve, and Emma Stone.
