Homeland’s Claire Danes and Damian Lewis joke to former child co-star Timothée Chalamet ‘we made you’ as they reunite to present at the Actor Awards

Claire Danes and Damian Lewis, stars of ‘Homeland,’ playfully told Timothée Chalamet, a former child co-star, ‘we made you’ when they reunited to present at the Actor Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday evening.

Before becoming a major Hollywood star, Timothée, now 30, first gained recognition for his role as Finn Walden in the second season of the TV show Homeland in 2012. He played the Vice President’s troubled and privileged son.

I was completely captivated by Claire Danes and Damian Lewis in that series! They played such compelling characters – Claire was Carrie Mathison, a brilliant CIA operative, and Damian was Nicholas Brody, a marine who unexpectedly became a key person of interest in her investigation. Their performances really drove the whole show, as far as I’m concerned.

During the Actors Awards, Damian and Claire took the stage to present the award for Best Drama Series Ensemble. Damian playfully remarked on the impressive nominees, saying, ‘These are truly incredible shows – five all-time greats! Claire, remind me, did Homeland ever win an award for its ensemble cast?’

Oh my gosh, did you hear what Claire said?! It was amazing! She totally called them out – she said it absolutely did not go as planned, and that’s why they’re demanding a rematch! A REMATCH! I’m practically vibrating with excitement, this is going to be epic!

Damian continued, jokingly dismissing their opponents: ‘We lost to… who were those guys? Downton Abbey? Breaking Bad? Never even heard of them. Seriously though, Bryan Cranston, Michelle Dockery, you’re both fantastic, but we’re going to win this time.’

Claire playfully suggested they deserved to win, pointing out that their cast was full of incredibly talented actors, like F. Murray Abraham and Mandy Patinkin.

Oh my god, and then she said… Timothée Chalamet was on our show! Can you believe it?! She asked where he even learned to deal with the pressure of working with Josh Safdie – you know, the director of his new movie, ‘Marty Supreme’? It was EVERYTHING. Seriously, how does he handle all that intensity? I need to know!

Damian then cheekily quipped: ‘We made you, Timothée. Just saying. And we’re ready for a recount.’

Later in the show, Michael B. Jordan surprised everyone by winning the top acting award, beating out Timothée in what many considered an upset.

The talented actor had another big surprise: his film, Sinners, won the award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture. The ceremony was held at The Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall in Los Angeles.

The 39-year-old actor was moved to tears after winning the award for best leading actor.

He defeated Timothée Chalet, the star of Marty Supreme, in a competition that also featured Leonardo DiCaprio (One Battle After Another), Ethan Hawke (Blue Moon), and Jesse Plemons (Bugonia).

Michael stared in disbelief at the acting award in his hands, his mouth hanging open in surprise.

Timothée, already a winner at the Critics Choice and Golden Globe Awards, graciously stood and applauded Jordan, joined by his co-star Gwyneth Paltrow, 53.

Timothée brought his mother as his date to the event on Sunday, while his girlfriend, Kylie Jenner, didn’t attend the red carpet.

He flashed a cheerful smile next to his mother Nicole Flender at the glitzy event.

Okay, so I’ve noticed Kylie always makes sure to find Travis inside the awards shows after he does his own red carpet thing. It’s like, she waits for him to finish, and then bam – they reunite inside! It’s so cute and I live for it, honestly. I’ve been tracking their every move, and it’s a pattern now! I swear, it’s the sweetest thing ever.

The actor looked sharp in an off-white suit jacket and a slightly open white dress shirt.

He shared a heartwarming moment with his mother, putting his arm around her shoulders while they paused to take some pictures together.

With awards season underway, he’s been very busy and received a nomination for Best Actor at the Actor Awards for his performance in Marty Supreme.

Odessa A’zion, his co-star, was also nominated for Best Supporting Actress, and the film itself earned a nomination for Outstanding Performance by its cast.

He recently traveled to the UK for the BAFTAs, where he was also a nominee over the weekend.

Despite being nominated, the actor didn’t win Best Actor; Robert Aramayo took home the award for his role in ‘I Swear’.
