Shia LaBeouf is facing another legal issue connected to his arrest after a fight at a bar in New Orleans back in February.
The former Disney star, age 39, was arrested after a late-night fight while celebrating Mardi Gras.
WWL Louisiana reported on Friday that the arrest warrant now includes another victim involved in the same altercation.
According to witnesses, Shia LaBeouf became increasingly confrontational at a business and was asked to leave by employees. They claim he then physically attacked a man, hitting him repeatedly with his fists.
It comes after LaBeouf posted a $100,000 bond on Thursday after making a court appearance.
He is now required to check into rehab and undergo regular drug and alcohol testing.
As a longtime follower of Shia LaBeouf, I was really concerned to hear about the recent developments in his case. Apparently, before the court hearing on Thursday, the judge, Simone Levine, requested a drug and alcohol test. She later revealed that the test showed signs he’d used substances in the past. It’s definitely worrying, and I’m hoping he gets the support he needs.
According to Nola.com, Levine stated that a medication LaBeouf is taking might explain the presence of certain substances in his system, but her primary worry is his alcohol consumption.
Sarah Chervinsky, his lawyer, stated that the drug test didn’t show any current illegal drugs in his system, but did indicate he had consumed alcohol in the past.
She added that it is ‘not illegal to get drunk on Mardi Gras.’
Around 12:45am, New Orleans police responded to a call about a fight on Royal Street in the French Quarter. Two men were reported as victims.
According to court documents, Shia LaBeouf was arrested on February 17th and charged with two counts of simple battery. He was released without having to pay bail.
Okay, so reports are surfacing about an incident involving Shia LaBeouf during Mardi Gras. According to a police report The Daily Mail got their hands on, he apparently used a really hurtful and offensive slur targeting the LGBTQ+ community multiple times during an argument. It’s a serious situation, and honestly, language like that is never okay.
This week, Judge Levine criticized him for reportedly using a hurtful and offensive term towards a community that has already experienced significant hardship and trauma.
Police reported that the incident at Mardi Gras worsened when Shia LaBeouf came back and reportedly attacked the original victim again, then punched another man in the face.
Witnesses reportedly attempted to restrain him until police arrived.
Shia LaBeouf received medical attention for some injuries at a hospital before being taken to Orleans Parish Prison.
He was charged with two counts of simple battery.
According to a police statement given to the Daily Mail, officers responded to a report of an assault on Royal Street around 12:45 AM on February 17, 2026. Two men reported being assaulted in the 1400 block of the street.
Police say 39-year-old Shia LaBeouf was causing a commotion and acting aggressively at a business on Royal Street.
An employee tried to remove Shia LaBeouf from the building. After he was outside, the victim said LaBeouf punched him repeatedly with his fists.
‘The victims reported that LaBeouf left, but then came back, acting even more aggressive.’
