Marshals Clip Shows Kayce Dutton In High Stakes Chase

Screen Rant is excited to share a first look at a new clip from Marshals, the upcoming spinoff and sequel to Yellowstone.

Marshals is a new CBS series starring Luke Grimes as Kayce Dutton. The show follows Dutton as he leaves the ranch to join a special unit of U.S. Marshals in Montana. It blends the classic western genre with crime drama, highlighting Dutton’s abilities while he battles cartels, disputes over land, and other crimes—all while grappling with the emotional toll of his job.

The first episode of Marshals opens with Dutton and his partner, Belle Skinner (Arielle Kebbel), in a horseback chase after a gunman. After a lengthy pursuit, they realized they needed a new plan. They decided to ambush the man, hoping to surprise him and knock him off his horse.

The new series will feature a mix of returning and new actors. Several cast members from Yellowstone, including Gil Birmingham, Mo Brings Plenty, and Brecken Merrill, will be back, joining Taylor Sheridan’s expanding universe alongside newcomers such as Jake Ream, Ash Santos, Tatanka Means, and Logan Marshall-Green.

Taylor Sheridan’s hit show, Yellowstone, centers around John Dutton (Kevin Costner), who owns the biggest cattle ranch in America, located in Montana. Over five seasons on Paramount, the drama depicts the Dutton family’s often-violent attempts to protect their land from both the neighboring Broken Rock Indian Reservation and the expanding Yellowstone National Park.

Beyond the next season of Yellowstone, several other shows are planned. The Dutton Ranch (formerly known as 2024) is already being filmed and will debut on Paramount+ this fall. Two more series, a prequel called 1944 and a spinoff titled 6666, are also in the works. As of today, release dates for these shows haven’t been announced.

The new show Marshals will debut on CBS on Sunday, March 1st, 2026, at 8 PM Eastern and 5 PM Pacific time. It will be available to stream on Paramount+ starting the next day, or live for those with a premium subscription.
