Amanda Holden says Simon Cowell is back to being his honest, direct self on Britain’s Got Talent, after a period of being more gentle with contestants.
The 55-year-old TV star shared details about the new season of Britain’s Got Talent, which premiered last week to enthusiastic reviews.
She announced that Simon is returning. She feels he’s become too lenient lately, likely because KSI is so straightforward and truthful when offering his opinions.
He’s not trying to be dishonest, he just gets straight to the point and doesn’t try to soften things. It’s like Simon suddenly realizes he agrees with everything being said and wonders why he didn’t just say so from the start.
It’s good to see Simon is back to his old self, even though we enjoyed his gentler side for a while!
Amanda said this year’s show feels much more relaxed and unpredictable. She believes having KSI as a judge, with his direct and honest responses, has been a positive influence.
‘We’ve got the old Simon back, and his one liners are better than ever and I’m loving that!
As a huge fan, I was so excited to hear Simon talk about the new series! He said we’re going to be able to experience everything even more intensely – it sounds like we’ll be right in the middle of the action this time around, and I can’t wait!
He shared that viewers can anticipate many surprises this season, explaining they’ve worked hard to make this year’s show stand out.
He explained that they want to give viewers a complete look behind the scenes of the show – everything from the contestant experience to what it’s like for the people who make it all happen.
We’ve become much more open about how our show is created, giving viewers an inside look at the entire process. It’s like we’re revealing the secrets behind the scenes.
He confirmed that viewers will likely see a more personal side of the judges, promising surprises and things they haven’t seen before.
I believe the show primarily focuses on the contestants, the crew, and everyone involved in its production. It really operates like a well-oiled machine, and viewers at home are curious about the behind-the-scenes aspects – things like how we prepare for performances between auditions and what it’s like inside the theatre.
It’s important to show the reality behind the scenes, even the messy parts. We often describe ourselves as a traveling circus, and now people will get to see all the hard work and energy that goes into making that happen.
This follows the Britain’s Got Talent judges sharing their opinions on Stacey Solomon after she appeared as a guest judge on the ITV show.
The singer, who first became well-known on The X Factor in 2009, will be a guest on an upcoming show with Amanda, Alesha Dixon, and online personality KSI.
Simon will be absent from the judging panel for one episode while Amanda steps in as the lead judge on the ITV show.
Stacey Solomon, 36, known for hosting ‘Sort Your Life Out,’ appearing on ‘Loose Women,’ and starring in her own show ‘Stacey & Joe,’ will be joining the panel.
Stacey was relieved to learn the show’s judges and hosts, Ant and Dec, were delighted she joined the cast, describing her as friendly, humorous, and genuine.
Oh my gosh, when they asked Alesha what it was like having Stacey join the show, she just gushed! She said Stacey was absolutely adorable – seriously, the sweetest person ever! And Alesha loved how natural she was, but what really stood out was how Stacey talked to the contestants. Apparently, she always gave them such genuine, kind advice because she always meant well. I just knew they’d get along!
She’s a genuinely kind person who’s thoughtful of others. If she disagreed with something or didn’t understand it, she’d speak up, but always with her signature grace and warmth.
Because she’s been a performer herself, she really understood what the auditionees were going through. I thought she handled it wonderfully!
Britain’s Got Talent returns Saturday at 7pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
