Brooklyn Peltz-Beckham and his wife, Nicola, were seen out in public for the first time since Brooklyn shared a lengthy post on Instagram addressing his family. The couple appeared happy, with Brooklyn sporting a noticeable smile that seemed to say he’d come out on top.
Even with recent, highly publicized family drama, Nicola seemed very at ease. She was seen walking on a Malibu beach with her husband, Brooklyn, and their dog, Lamb, enjoying a cup of coffee and leaning affectionately against his shoulder.
She looked perfectly put-together in a cream poncho, flared jeans, and ballet flats. The photos seemed carefully arranged, like a planned event.
Nicola is understandably happy despite recent difficult times. Over the past few days, she and her husband have faced serious accusations following a very public argument from Brooklyn, where he claimed his parents, Victoria and David Beckham, were overly controlling during his upbringing. He also revealed that his mother reportedly called him ‘evil’ before his wedding in April 2022 and interfered with his first dance.
Those who know Nicola well say she’s always dreamed of being famous, and now her wish has come true.
People who know her say Nicola Peltz, despite being the daughter of fast-food billionaire Nelson Peltz, has often wished her last name carried more recognition.
According to a source in the entertainment industry, Nicola’s focus is entirely on building her brand and leveraging her name. Her family’s wealth is also a significant factor in her approach.
Even though the Peltz family may have more money than the Beckhams, their name doesn’t carry the same level of influence. It makes you wonder if people would even be familiar with Nicola if she hadn’t started dating Brooklyn.
Nicola has faced similar accusations before. Yesterday, Alana Hadid, the older sister of Nicola’s ex-boyfriend Anwar, publicly joined the ongoing conflict, claiming Nicola has long desired fame. Alana, whose sisters are models Gigi and Bella Hadid, made these statements.
She commented on Instagram, saying the person in question seems to crave attention and has been seeking fame for ten years.
I’ve been told by people close to the Hadid family that they were very upset with how Nicola treated Anwar after their breakup in 2018.
As a lifestyle observer, I remember when Nicola and Anwar first started dating back in 2016, a lot of people were surprised! Nicola had recently moved from her family’s incredibly lavish life in Florida – a stunning £76 million mansion, to be exact – to pursue her dreams in Hollywood. That’s where she crossed paths with Bella and Gigi Hadid, and it seems they played matchmaker, introducing her to Anwar.
Anwar, a 17-year-old model and son of privileged parents, began dating Nicola, a young actress four years his senior. While he wasn’t as driven as she was, Nicola seemed thrilled to be with someone from the well-known Hadid family and quickly tried to become friends with his mother, Yolanda.
Nicola flooded Instagram with posts showing off her close friendship with Yolanda, a well-known star from the reality show The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. She wanted everyone to see they were best friends.
I was so excited for Nicola! She was just starting to film a new show for Hulu, a little thriller called ‘When The Streetlights Go On,’ and she got to work with the Hadids! As far as famous families go, you really can’t get much bigger – they’re total icons, and it was amazing to see her connecting with them.
It didn’t take long for the unhappy young woman to find herself on the red carpet with the Hadid sisters, who were the most popular models at the time.
Nicola described Anwar as a wonderful person, practically an angel, and comes from a fantastic family. She especially praised his sisters, Gigi and Bella, calling them kind, strong, and a joy to be around.
However, less than a year after their relationship began, Anwar and Nicola broke up, and Nicola quickly unfollowed all of the Hadids on Instagram.
Apparently, Bella and Gigi started to dislike Nicola for understandable reasons. People close to the situation say they felt Nicola was controlling, and Yolanda supposedly tried to talk some sense into him with an intervention.
As someone who often advises on relationships and family dynamics, I’ve learned that sometimes, even when things start beautifully, they just aren’t the right fit long-term. That’s what I’m hearing about Anwar Hadid’s situation. Apparently, his mom and sisters were becoming increasingly concerned about his happiness in the relationship and really wanted him to prioritize his well-being. They had some reservations, mainly about the age gap and how different Anwar and Nicola’s personalities were. While it began promisingly, they ultimately felt it wasn’t the best path for him.
This sparked discussions between Anwar and his family, who were worried about him. They felt he was having a difficult time and were concerned about his relationship with an older woman during a crucial period in his life. There was a tense exchange of words, and Yolanda was glad when it was over. Anwar was quite shaken up by the whole experience.
After Alana’s statements became public yesterday, people close to the Beckhams noted how closely they mirrored the dynamic in her relationship with Brooklyn.
There’s a noticeable age difference between Nicola and Brooklyn Beckham – she’s five years older – and reports suggest the Beckhams have also characterized her as being controlling.
As a lifestyle expert, I’m hearing that Victoria Beckham is really leaning on her friend Yolanda Hadid right now. Apparently, Yolanda’s own difficult experience with a child has been a source of comfort for Victoria as she navigates a strained relationship with her eldest son. It’s a tough time, and finding support from someone who understands is clearly helping her get through it.
According to a friend, this isn’t unique to Victoria; Yolanda Hadid experienced something similar. Interestingly, despite living far apart, the Beckhams and Hadids have another thing in common that’s important to this family conflict: compared to the Peltzes, both families, despite their fame and wealth, seem less established or privileged.
This disagreement is said to be the initial cause of the falling out between the Beckhams and Peltzes. It’s unfortunate, because their relationship had begun so promisingly.
When restrictions eased in January 2021, Victoria and David Beckham flew to Florida on a private jet to meet Nicola Peltz and her family for the first time at their Palm Beach home. Sources said everyone was really excited about the trip, as family is incredibly important to the Beckhams, and building a good relationship with Nicola’s family was a priority. The meeting went very well – so well that, just three months later at Easter, Nicola and her mother Claudia sent Victoria a lavish gift basket worth £500.
The gift box contained luxurious beauty products like Chanel hand cream, Dior mascara, and Victoria’s own skincare line. It also included Apple AirPods and plenty of chocolate, all accompanied by a personal handwritten note.
Victoria shared a video of an incredible Easter basket she received from the Peltz family on Instagram, excitedly showing her followers all the goodies inside.
Unfortunately, the initial positive relationship didn’t last. Nelson Peltz, a self-made businessman with a significant past investment in Disney and a friendship with Donald Trump, is reportedly becoming increasingly critical of his British in-laws, the Beckhams. The Peltz family is said to consider the Beckhams as lacking sophistication and dismiss Victoria Beckham’s history as a member of the Spice Girls.
My friend pointed out that although both the Nelsons and the Beckhams are incredibly wealthy, Nelson tries to project an image of dignified leadership, whereas the Beckhams are seen as having recently acquired their fortune.
This has caused a lot of tension, with the Peltz family feeling superior to the Beckhams in terms of social status and money.
The awkwardness surrounding Victoria dancing was really apparent at the wedding. Most families would have loved it – a Spice Girl dancing at a wedding is something to celebrate! But the Peltzes clearly found it mortifying.
Apparently, Posh and David Beckham don’t have a high opinion of the Peltz family, describing them as unpleasant. They particularly dislike Nelson Peltz and his wife, Claudia.
Tensions between the Beckhams and Nelson Peltz solidified at Brooklyn and Nicola’s wedding. The Beckhams reportedly felt Nelson was overly controlling, having hired armed security and asking guests to hand over their phones.
There’s been tension between the Beckhams and Peltzes regarding finances, reportedly stemming from Nelson and Claudia Peltz covering most of the expenses for Brooklyn and Nicola’s wedding. This has led to claims from the Peltz side that David and Victoria Beckham are unwilling to spend money.
You know, I’ve spoken to a lot of people about raising financially responsible kids, and a common thread is simply teaching them the worth of a dollar. It’s not about being stingy, but about instilling a healthy respect for money and how hard it can be to earn. That’s what these parents are trying to do – pass that valuable lesson on to their children.
A friend pointed out that Brooklyn actually started his career earning just over £2 an hour at a French café – something you’d never imagine someone from the Peltz family doing, according to another acquaintance.
David and Victoria are understandably upset by recent events. They’ve worked incredibly hard to build a successful life for themselves and their family, and they’re proud of everything they’ve accomplished.
Seeing Nicola reconnect with her son in those touching new photos suggests the pain from their separation is still very present and won’t easily disappear.
