Lorna Luxe returns to social media to share an update with fans after taking a break following the death of her husband John to cancer

Lorna Luxe is back on social media, posting an update to her fans after the passing of her husband, John.

The businessman, 21 years older than Lorna, fought a battle with advanced adrenal cancer after receiving his diagnosis in April 2023.

Lorna announced his death on February 12. The couple had been married for 16 years. 

Lorna is back on social media after a break, and she recently shared an update with her followers.

I know I haven’t posted much lately, but I want you to know I’m still here! I read all your messages and comments every day, and they really mean a lot to me.

‘Thank you for being so kind and taking time to message me, it means more than you will ever know.’

Lorna’s update was posted to her Instagram stories with a black background.

Lorna announced the passing of her husband, John, with a touching message. She described him as beautiful and brave, and shared that she is devastated by his loss.

We stayed together until the very end, peacefully at home in our bed, holding hands – just as he wished.

The last time we spoke, I asked how he was doing, and he said he was having a hard time, but still felt deeply in love. That really captured his personality – he was always direct and prioritized making me feel loved and cared for, even when he was struggling.

I’ll never forget the incredible district nurses who cared for my husband, John. They came every single day, and we were so thankful for their support in keeping him comfortable. It truly meant the world to us during a difficult time.

Anna was his favorite nurse, and she was incredibly kind to him – he truly felt like she was an angel.

Those final days at home wouldn’t have been possible without the wonderful care we received, and my mum’s support was invaluable. She kept me going when I needed to be strong for John.

‘John you are a class act and I will love you forever.’

The couple had been sharing updates on his health journey with their fans, ever since he went into remission in November 2023, and they expressed gratitude for the support they received.

Sadly, the former banker’s cancer came back in May 2024, and it had spread to his brain.

Just before Christmas, John’s chemotherapy caused a complication that led to organ failure, and he became seriously ill with sepsis, requiring a return to the hospital.

In December 2025, Lorna was warned to expect the worst, but she remained confident he would get better. Thankfully, John—always a fighter—was able to return home for Christmas.

She shared with Fabulous magazine that things have been frightening because of the uncertainty surrounding how much time they have left with John. They’re trying to make the most of every moment, as they don’t know how long he’ll be able to continue doing the things he enjoys. They’re aware time is limited and are therefore moving quickly to fit everything in.

Lorna and John are enjoying special moments together and focusing on living in the present, taking each day as it comes.

She explained that she avoids making plans for the future. She anticipates potentially becoming a widow relatively young, likely in her 40s, and finds that prospect frightening, as it would for any woman.

Following his recent hospital stay, John told Lorna they needed to organize their finances, just in case something happened to him. Lorna quickly responded that she wasn’t ready to talk about serious or difficult topics, and didn’t want to dwell on such things.
