Hollywood icons Maxwell Caulfield, 66, and Juliet Mills, 84, prove their love is going strong after 46 years

Hollywood veterans Maxwell Caulfield and Juliet Mills showed off their enduring romance Wednesday, appearing deeply in love after 46 years of marriage.

Michael Damian, 66, and Joan Collins, 84, still have incredible chemistry! The former stars of Grease 2 and Passions were spotted at a Los Angeles film screening, looking fantastic together and proving age hasn’t diminished their connection.

Despite being married for over four decades, the couple appeared as happy and in love as if they had just gotten married, happily holding hands and posing for pictures.

I always say, style is about balance! I recently spotted someone—let’s call him Caulfield—who absolutely nailed it. He was wearing a beautifully tailored suit, super classic and polished, but then he gave it this amazing modern twist with a pair of bright green leather trainers. It was such a cool, unexpected combination – proof you can be sophisticated and have fun with your look!

Mills looked effortlessly chic in a brown coat with fur trim, paired with eye-catching black boots and bold earrings.

The scene highlighted just how unusual their long marriage is in Hollywood – it’s lasted through years of fame, despite their age difference, and after decades of public attention.

They first met in 1980 while acting together in a play called The Elephant Man, and that’s where their love story began.

Caulfield was a young newcomer at 21, and Mills, at 39, was an established actress from a well-known family. This pairing immediately caught people’s attention.

It didn’t faze them, as the pair married later that same year.

‘We were instant friends, immediately attracted,’ she told Weekend Magazine in 2019.

She said she believes in reincarnation and felt like she’d met Maxwell before, perhaps in a past life. It was a feeling of instant recognition, like reconnecting with someone familiar.

‘It was a full-blown romance,’ Caulfield added.

Mills said: ‘Maxwell is very romantic, very protective and my best friend.

He also helped plan our wedding, and it was incredibly romantic. We got married at sunrise on a cliff overlooking the Pacific Ocean.

The pair sealed their romance with an intimate seaside wedding at Malibu’s Point Dume.

It marked Caulfield’s first trip down the aisle, while Mills was already a veteran of married life.Ā

She has two children: Sean Alquist, from her marriage to Russell Alquist Jr., and Melissa Caulfield, from her relationship with Michael Miklenda.

As a lifestyle expert, I often see blended families navigate unique paths, and that was certainly true for Caulfield. He fully embraced being a stepfather to Sean and Melissa, and they built a lovely family unit, but ultimately, they didn’t have children of their own together. It just goes to show that family isn’t always defined by traditional paths, and love can flourish in so many different ways.

Caulfield’s career took off quickly after his wedding, largely due to his role as the rebellious Michael Carrington in Grease 2.

He became a teen idol seemingly overnight after landing the role, and this success led to appearances in popular shows like Dynasty, Melrose Place, and Beverly Hills, 90210.

By contrast, Mills was already an established star long before she met her future husband.

Growing up as the daughter of acclaimed actor Sir John Mills and the older sister of Hayley Mills, star of ‘The Parent Trap,’ meant she spent her childhood immersed in the world of theater.

She appeared in well-known movies like Avanti! and The Rare Breed, and later gained a following among soap opera viewers for her role as the cunning Eve de Beauchamp on Passions.

And despite their nearly 20-year age gap, Caulfield insists Mills is the one setting the pace.

Speaking on Loose Women last year, he said: ā€˜Funnily enough, she’s the one who keeps me young.

ā€˜It’s like a reverse process going on, it’s kind of spooky. It’s like ā€œSlow down, will you?ā€

ā€˜I don’t mean in the age department, either!’

Even after over forty years of marriage, both actors are still actively working. Mills recently appeared on Grey’s Anatomy, and Caulfield has been cast in The Bay and Taylor Sheridan’s Landman, demonstrating that their relationship has flourished alongside their enduring careers.
