Proud dad Pierce Brosnan joins his granddaughter Isabella and son Dylan for his artist son Paris’ exhibition opening in London

Paris Brosnan had family support for his exhibition opening in Mayfair London on Thursday night.

I was so thrilled to be at the debut of Declan’s new art collection, ‘Collective Energy’! It was at Clarendon Fine Art in Mayfair, and it meant the world to see his dad, Pierce Brosnan, there supporting him, along with Declan’s brother Dylan and Pierce’s granddaughter, Isabella. It was a really special family moment, and the art was fantastic – Declan’s only 24, but he’s incredibly talented.

Seventy-two-year-old Pierce seemed thrilled to be there for his youngest child, who has shown work in the US before. He happily posed for photos with his family outside the gallery.

Oh my gosh, you would NOT believe it! I was there, and Pierce and his whole family – even Paris’ amazing girlfriend, Alex Lee-Aillon – got a sneak peek at the collection before anyone else! Then, get this, they all went outside and Paris actually painted on a classic BMW 7 Series right there in front of us! Everyone stopped what they were doing to watch – it was seriously incredible, a total moment!

Earlier today, Pierce Brosnan shared news about his son Paris’s art exhibition on Instagram. Paris Brosnan, a Los Angeles-based artist, is launching his first UK show, ‘COLLECTIVE ENERGY,’ at Clarendon Fine Art in Mayfair on February 26th. The exhibition focuses on themes of human connection, energy, and shared experiences through vibrant artwork.

Pierce Brosnan has five children. He shares his two youngest, Dylan and Paris, with his wife, Keely Shaye Smith, who is 61 years old.

After his adopted daughter Charlotte passed away from cancer in 2013, Pierce has remained close to her daughter, Isabella, maintaining a strong family connection.

Charlotte and her brother Christopher, age 52, are the children of Pierce Brosnan’s late wife, Cassandra Harris. After their father, Dermot Harris, passed away in 1986, Pierce adopted both of Cassandra’s children.

In 1991, Cassandra passed away from ovarian cancer, leaving her brother, Pierce, orphaned. Before her death, Cassandra and Pierce had a son together, Sean, who is now 41 and was born in 1983.

Charlotte welcomed two children of her own, Isabella and Lucas, with her partner Alex Smith.

But Charlotte died just weeks after marrying Alex in 2013 from the same cancer her mother had.

Isabella has generally stayed private over the years, and seems to have a close relationship with her father, Alex.

Pierce hasn’t often discussed Cassandra and Charlotte following their deaths, but he did share some thoughts about them during the Stand Up To Cancer telethon in 2014.

Everyone in the room was deeply moved when Pierce spoke about being someone who had witnessed the women he cared for endure significant hardship.

He started by explaining how heartbreaking it is to watch a loved one slowly lose their life to a cruel illness, and that kind of grief stays with you forever.

I held my first wife, Cassie’s, hand – a hand that was always strong, kind, and beautiful – as she lost her battle with ovarian cancer far too early.

Just last year, I held my sweet daughter Charlotte’s hand as she passed away from this terrible disease, which she inherited.

Pierce previously spoke about his and his son Paris’ shared passion for art.

Pierce shared that his wife, Keely, had a film shown at the Cannes Film Festival. Festival organizers then learned he was an artist and invited him to donate a piece of his work to an amFAR auction, which raises money for AIDS research.

In a conversation with Parade magazine, Pierce explained that he had painted a portrait of Bob Dylan, whom he greatly admires.

Honestly, when it finally sold for $1.4 million (about £1.1 million), Keely and I were absolutely ecstatic – we just celebrated all night! It was such a magical feeling, I truly wouldn’t mind trading in my acting career if every experience could be like that one.

Pierce began painting in 1987 after his wife, Cassandra, received a diagnosis of ovarian cancer. He’s said that while he supported his children’s interests, he discouraged himself from pursuing his own passion for acting.

He explained to GQ in 2022 that the process is incredibly difficult, describing it as a challenging burden. He said it involves both building yourself up and tearing yourself down.

Following his father’s guidance, 24-year-old Paris is focusing his energy on creating art and music. Meanwhile, his brother Dylan has found success as a model.
