Okay, so I just saw Project Hail Mary on a huge IMAX screen, and wow! Edgar Wright totally gets it – it’s amazing to see something this epic and visually stunning brought to life. It’s been a while since we’ve seen a big, live-action movie from Phil Lord and Chris Miller, and they nailed it. It’s dazzling, but it still feels really grounded and human, you know?
The production was incredibly detailed, especially the puppetry. It reminded me of classic 70s sci-fi films like ‘Silent Running’ and ‘Dark Star,’ which is a huge compliment to the work.
Drew Goddard wrote a fantastic script, and the cinematography by Greig Fraser is stunning. Ryan Gosling is captivating, and Sandra Hüller delivers another brilliant performance, reminiscent of her work in ‘Toni Erdmann’. Just imagining how difficult this movie would be to create is mind-boggling – after all, it’s about saving the universe! Definitely see it on the biggest screen possible.
