Dollywood Announces One-Time Orlando to Tennessee Inflight Experience

Dollywood and Allegiant Air are offering a special, one-time flight from Orlando, Florida, to East Tennessee. Called “Flight #925: Destination Dollywood,” the flight is planned for November 6, 2026.

This flight will connect Orlando Sanford International Airport (SFB) with McGhee Tyson Airport (TYS), which serves Knoxville, Tennessee. From there, you can easily reach Pigeon Forge and the Great Smoky Mountains – they’re just about an hour away.

Dollywood and Allegiant announced that their new flight number is a nod to Dolly Parton’s famous song, “9 to 5.”

The One-Time Flight

As a huge film buff, I’m really excited about what this company is planning! It sounds like the whole experience starts right at the gate in Orlando – they’re talking about live entertainment, fun trivia, themed food and drinks, and even exclusive merchandise. And the best part? It doesn’t stop when we board the plane – they’re bringing all that excitement with us during the flight!

I’m so excited about this flight! Allegiant says it’s a normal, scheduled flight, but they’re adding some really fun, special touches just for this one departure. It’s being described as a whole experience, happening only on this particular day, and I can’t wait to be a part of it!

According to Drew Wells, Allegiant’s Chief Commercial Officer, the new flight, #925, is designed to make travel fun. By teaming up with Dollywood Parks & Resorts, Allegiant aims to offer a special experience that combines affordability, memorable moments, and a vacation atmosphere starting the moment passengers board the plane.

The press release did not disclose how many seats will be available for the themed flight.

More Perks

Passengers flying on Flight #925 can buy tickets to Dollywood for November 7, 2026. They’ll also get special perks like reserved times for some rides and guaranteed seats at select shows. This visit will be during Dollywood’s Smoky Mountain Christmas celebration.

Dollywood announced this flight is the first time they’ve partnered with an airline for a promotion like this. Allegiant said they already fly routes from Florida to East Tennessee, making this a natural extension of their existing service.

We’re also offering lodging packages for the event, including stays at Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort and Spa and HeartSong Lodge & Resort.

Why This is Significant

As a huge theme park fan, I’ve been watching Dollywood’s rise for years. It started as a local spot called Silver Dollar City back in the late 70s and early 80s, but it’s really blossomed into something special – a world-class park that can now go toe-to-toe with Disney and Universal! What’s even more impressive is that Dollywood consistently gets higher marks from guests than those bigger parks. In fact, a recent Newsweek report, based on feedback from real customers, ranked Dollywood #1 in amusement park experiences with a score of 93.22 out of 100. Disney came in second with 92.49, and Universal scored 90.1 – it’s amazing to see Dollywood leading the pack!

Dollywood has always remained true to its origins in the Smoky Mountains. Despite competing with major theme parks like Disney and Universal for recognition and customer approval, it hasn’t expanded into the Orlando tourist area.

Until now.

It’s possible, but this is a single, isolated appearance. Could Dolly Parton and her famously warm personality be planning further involvement with the theme park? We don’t have any information at this time, but her traveling from Orlando does seem a bit unusual.
