Strictly Come Dancing star looks unrecognisable in throwback swimsuit snap – but can YOU guess who it is?

A celebrity from the show Strictly Come Dancing has shared an old photo on Instagram that fans say they barely recognize.

The 82-year-old dancer shared a throwback swimsuit photo on social media, celebrating the warm weather with a glimpse from her past.

The TV star looked amazing in a leopard-print swimsuit paired with a peach sarong, and showed off her bright red hair while posing on a balcony by the pool.

She captioned the snap: ‘How it feels with the sun shining and mild temperatures today’.

The choreographer recently told a fan that she still owns the original costume after all these years.

Arlene was one of the very first judges on the BBC’s dance competition, starting when it began in 2004 and continuing until she left in 2008.

This follows Arlene’s comments on who she believes should take over from Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly, after the pair announced their departure from Strictly Come Dancing.

Everyone was surprised when the pair announced they were leaving the show after 14 years of hosting it together, and people immediately started guessing who would replace them.

Oti Mabuse, a fellow contestant from Strictly Come Dancing and a panelist on Loose Women, recently asked her who she thought would be a good fit for the role.

The choreographer explained that they initially considered using someone who wasn’t a dancer, hoping for a more objective perspective. They reasoned there were already plenty of dancers offering critiques, but then decided against that idea.

It’s hard to find someone to fill Claudia’s shoes. She’s incredibly intelligent, hilarious, and really made ‘It Takes Two’ special – especially at the start, it felt like we were creating something new together. She was perfect for that show.

You know, finding someone truly captivating is tough, but I immediately picture Hannah Waddingham. She’s just effortlessly brilliant, incredibly quick-witted, and doesn’t fit the typical mold. Plus, she clearly has a fantastic sense of humor and is always game for a laugh – that’s what makes someone really special, in my opinion.

She described the person she was thinking of as bubbly, friendly, and the emotional center of the show, then gestured towards Oti, saying, ‘Her – the one on my right.’

Arlene also quickly praised Layton, exclaiming, ‘Layton Williams!’
