Terri Irwin and Angela Bishop break down as they share grief over their late husbands in moving  interview

Terri Irwin and Angela Bishop will share their experiences with loss and grief over the passing of their husbands in an upcoming interview.

A conservationist and a journalist who covers entertainment will be featured in a special interview next week on 10 News+.

A preview released on Wednesday showed the women getting emotional and tearing up as they talked about how much they missed their partners.

Angela lost her husband, Peter Baikie, in 2017. Terri Irwin’s husband, Steve, passed away in 2006.

In the video, 61-year-old Terri gets emotional as she explains that finding what she was looking for was difficult, but they persevered. Her voice cracks as she cries while sharing this.

‘And we’re both in the same club,’ she adds to Angela.

Angela asked if the issue was still occurring, explaining that she was still experiencing it herself. Terri responded that it definitely did, and often at the most inconvenient times.

Terri comforts Angela with a hug, telling her she’s doing well. Angela responds with a similar compliment, saying Terri is doing a great job too.

Angela, a reporter for Channel 10, has frequently shared her deep sadness since her husband, Peter, passed away from a rare cancer in November 2017. He was only 54 years old.

The couple shared an 18-year-old daughter, Amelia.

Angela and Peter met in 2002 in a bar and married three years later in 2005.

In 2021, Angela shared how difficult Father’s Day is for her, as it brings up painful memories of losing both her father and another significant person in her life.

The entertainment reporter lost both her father Alan and then her husband seven years apart.

“Father’s Day is the most difficult day of the year for me,” wrote the former Studio 10 star in an article for Stellar magazine.

Terri has stated that no one could ever compare to her late husband, Steve Irwin – the beloved Crocodile Hunter – who tragically died in Queensland at age 44 when he was pierced in the chest by a stingray barb.

Terri said that despite all the great men out there, she doesn’t think anyone could ever truly replace Steve Irwin.

As someone who’s followed the Irwin family for years, it’s hard to believe it’s been so long since Steve’s passing. I remember when he and Terri built such a beautiful life together – 14 years of marriage, and two incredible kids, Bindi, who’s now 27, and Robert, 21. They’ve both grown into such amazing young adults, carrying on Steve’s legacy, and it’s truly inspiring to watch.

The mother-of-two hasn’t dated anyone publicly since her late husband tragically died.

She said, “Despite all the wonderful people in the world, I’ve found true happiness with the person I’m with, and I’m still very much in love.”

I miss Steve, but I’m generally okay being alone. I don’t really wish I were in a relationship.
