Kyle Sandilands has said he feels sorry for the heated argument that upset his co-host, Jackie ‘O’ Henderson, and led to her taking time off work.

On Friday, the radio host, 54, publicly criticized Jackie, 51, claiming she was prioritizing astrology over her job.

Jackie was very upset by Kyle’s harsh words, and Kyle has now admitted he regrets how he handled the situation.

He admitted he likely offended her, and looking back, he probably shouldn’t have made the comment on the radio. However, he explained that they often say things like that on their show, The Kyle & Jackie O Show.

I didn’t intend to upset her, but clearly I did, and I’m truly sorry for that. No one wants to cause pain, especially to someone they care about.

I’m not sure what’s happening, but the show is continuing as planned. I’ve handed responsibility for it over to management.

Kyle explained he simply wants to return to broadcasting with everyone feeling good about the situation. He expressed a desire for everyone involved to be happy and enjoy the work, including himself.

He playfully said he’d replace anyone on the team with Jackie in a second, not worrying about anyone else’s feelings.

Oh my gosh, even Kyle’s wife, Tegan Kynaston – they’ve been married for almost three years, can you believe it?! – she actually told the radio host she’s worried too, and it sounded like she was totally agreeing with Jackie! I can’t even with this drama, but it’s so fascinating to see everyone taking sides.

‘I got a bit of a blasting from my wife… She’s being supportive but she’s also very honest with me,’ Kyle explained. 

She pointed out that I occasionally say things at home that aren’t well-received, and she’s right – we all make mistakes like that.

Kyle also responded to people who thought his argument with Jackie on the air was faked to get more attention for the show.

He stated that anyone criticizing or commenting negatively on the show clearly doesn’t understand it or the people involved.

Even people who work in radio don’t believe it, which really highlights how out of touch these individuals are.

Honestly, I just don’t trust what those so-called experts are saying. It’s frustrating because none of them have bothered to actually talk to people like me – the ones truly affected – in over fifteen years. They’re just guessing, and it shows.

Kyle finally spoke out this week after a disagreement with his KIIS FM co-host, Jackie, led to her taking time off work.

Oh my god, it all started because of Jackie’s love of astrology, and it was devastating. Everyone was making it sound like an ‘obsession,’ and it completely fractured her and her co-host’s relationship on the radio. She had to step away for a while, it was so sad to see!

Kyle quickly mentioned on Tuesday that Jackie wouldn’t be on the air this week. Newsreader Brooklyn Ross shared that he missed working with her.

‘She’ll be gone for the week, I’m told,’ Kyle said. ‘That’s what I heard yesterday.’

Kyle appeared to have changed his attitude over the weekend, and he admitted he was excited about her coming back.

Okay, so, it totally broke my heart watching Jackie on Friday. Kyle just attacked her, basically accusing her of being way too into astrology. It was awful! She was so upset, she was actually crying. I mean, who cares if she loves astrology? It’s not hurting anyone! It was just a really mean thing for Kyle to say, honestly.

Jackie and her companion were talking about the recent news concerning Prince Andrew when Jackie unexpectedly began to analyze his astrological birth chart.

Kyle strongly criticized his co-star, saying her interest in astrology was negatively impacting her performance.

When Jackie tried to explain her side and said he was the one who started things, he claimed he was simply stating what happened.
