Winona Ryder Joins Wednesday Season 3 Cast, Making It Most Tim Burton Yet

The cast for season 3 of Netflix’s popular fantasy show, Wednesday, is growing, and the latest addition makes the season feel particularly influenced by Tim Burton’s style. Wednesday is one of Netflix’s most successful fantasy shows, and it’s quickly becoming one of the best TV shows ever made.

Wednesday is a show created by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, with Tim Burton as an executive producer. Inspired by Charles Addams’ original The Addams Family, it stars Jenna Ortega as Wednesday Addams, who attends Nevermore Academy and learns to harness her psychic powers.

The show Wednesday has become incredibly popular and is gearing up for a third season. The cast is growing, with Winona Ryder being the newest addition, promising a season with a strong Tim Burton influence.

Winona Ryder Is One Of Tim Burton’s Most Notable Collaborators

Winona Ryder is a celebrated actress who has collaborated with famous directors such as Francis Ford Coppola and Martin Scorsese. She first gained widespread recognition for her role as Lydia Deetz in the movie Beetlejuice, where she played the only person able to see the ghosts of Adam (Alec Baldwin) and Barbara (Geena Davis).

This marked the start of Winona Ryder’s frequent work with director Tim Burton. She went on to star as Kim in Edward Scissorhands, provide the voice for Elsa Van Helsing in Frankenweenie, and reprise her role as Lydia in Beetlejuice Beetlejuice. More recently, Ryder gained widespread recognition for her role as Joyce Byers in the Netflix hit series Stranger Things.

Winona Ryder will make a guest appearance in season 3 of Wednesday, joining previously announced cast members including Eva Green (playing Morticia Addams’ sister), Chris Sarandon, Noah Taylor, Oscar Morgan, and Kennedy Moyer.

Tim Burton is heavily involved with Wednesday as an executive producer and director of episodes in both seasons. Though he didn’t create the show, it clearly reflects his signature style, and that influence is becoming even stronger as he brings in familiar faces like Winona Ryder and Eva Green to collaborate.

Tim Burton directed half of the episodes in both the first and second seasons of Wednesday, including the first episode of season one. While he’s likely to direct some episodes of season three as well, the exact number hasn’t been confirmed yet.

Tim Burton is currently making a new version of Attack of the Fifty-Foot Woman and Margot Robbie will be the star. As for Wednesday season 3, Burton’s directing involvement will depend on how busy he is, but ideally, he’ll direct at least one episode.

I was so excited to hear about season 3 of Wednesday! At first, there were rumors about Winona Ryder joining the cast, but no one knew her role. Thankfully, Netflix just dropped a production announcement video, and it revealed everything – including the full cast list, with both new faces and familiar ones returning. I can’t wait to see what they’ve planned!

A new video confirms Winona Ryder will appear in season 3 of Wednesday as a character named Tabitha. However, her role and how she’s connected to Wednesday Addams and the rest of the family remain a mystery. Netflix hasn’t shared any information about the new characters, and since Tabitha isn’t a character from The Addams Family history, it seems she’s being created specifically for the show.

Tim Burton’s Wednesday Episodes Are Some Of The Show’s Best

From the start, Wednesday has been a success, and the second season addresses issues from the first while building out its interesting world. A key reason the show is so popular is the involvement of Tim Burton, who served as an executive producer and director – his directed episodes are often the highlights.

As a huge fan of Wednesday, I have to say Episode 4 of the first season, “Woe What a Night,” really blew up online – that dance scene was everything! And looking ahead, many fans, myself included, think Episodes 2 and the finale of season 1, “If Those Woes Could Talk” and “This Means Woe,” are the strongest. Fingers crossed that if Tim Burton directs any episodes of season 3, we get to see more of Winona Ryder as Tabitha – that would be amazing!

Season 3 of Wednesday is bringing back some familiar faces for Tim Burton, including Winona Ryder, as well as Eva Green (who previously appeared in Burton’s Dark Shadows, Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, and Dumbo) and Chris Sarandon – best known as the voice of Jack Skellington in The Nightmare Before Christmas.

Season 3 of Wednesday was highly anticipated, building on the cliffhangers and ongoing mysteries from the previous seasons. Winona Ryder’s involvement further increased the excitement and intrigue.
