The second season of Paradise, the mystery thriller with political elements and starring Sterling K. Brown (known from This Is Us), has arrived. The first three episodes are now streaming on Disney+ in the UK and Hulu in the US, almost a year after the first season concluded.
Okay, so the game starts three years after everything went crazy – like, a huge disaster happened. The story focuses on a group of the most influential people on Earth, and they’re all holed up in this massive underground bunker somewhere in Colorado, trying to survive.
The story starts with Secret Service agent Xavier Collins finding the President dead, which immediately launches a tense investigation – and makes Collins a prime suspect.

Okay, so Season 2 picks up right where we left off with Collins. He’s finally leaving the safety of the bunker to find his wife, which is awesome! But things get even more interesting because there’s this totally new character thrown into the mix, and they’re already making things complicated. I’m hooked!
Joining Sterling in the film are Julianne Nicholson, known for her role in Mare of Easttown, James Marsden from Avengers: Doomsday, and Shailene Woodley, who starred in Big Little Lies.
The second season is getting rave reviews, with an 89% positive rating on Rotten Tomatoes based on 28 critic reviews.
According to The Telegraph, the show features surprising twists comparable to those in Game of Thrones, and it’s a particularly well-made thriller for modern binge-watching.

Several sources, including Inverse, Decider, and YouTuber Zach Pope, drew comparisons between the show and the early 2000s hit Lost, with Pope specifically noting “Lost vibes.” Comic Book Resources praised it as “one of the most satisfying dystopian dramas” available.
