Shannon Noll doesn’t look like this anymore! Australian Idol star shows off freshly shorn head as he entertains A-League fans in Newcastle

Shannon Noll flaunted a freshly shorn head on Sunday when he entertained soccer fans in Newcastle.

The 50-year-old Australian Idol star appeared on the field before the Newcastle Jets’ game against Macarthur FC at McDonald Jones Stadium.

Shannon was sporting a very high and tight buzz cut with a sharp fade on the sides.

Shannon debuted a new hairstyle, but he still kept his signature small patch of beard below his lower lip.

The singer, known for his song ‘Lift,’ looked like a classic rock star while sitting on a stool with a guitarist and bassist beside him.

He was wearing a bold, short-sleeved shirt with a grey and black snakeskin design and skulls down the front.

Shannon also wore a pair of dark blue jeans with an array of pockets and zips.

The singer completed his outfit with black Oakley sunglasses and boots.

A clip of Shannon’s performance was uploaded to the official A-League Instagram on Sunday.

The video featured Shannon powerfully singing his popular song, “What About Me,” originally made famous by the Australian rock band Moving Pictures.

The audience clearly loved the energetic performance, singing along with the Australian Idol star as a group.

The post was met with a flurry of comments from soccer fans praising Shannon’s dulcet tones.

One person raved about the song, saying they couldn’t stop listening to the singer’s voice. Another fan declared their lasting support for the artist, referencing his time on Australian Idol.

Meanwhile, the A-League’s social media manager possibly reignited old Australian Idol drama.

Fans felt Shannon should have won the first season of Australian Idol instead of Guy Sebastian.

Another agreed, adding: ‘The one and only. Some may say I hold a grudge but the man was robbed.’

A rude fan mocked Shannon’s receding hairline, quipping that his career was going the same way as his hair.

Someone immediately responded, hoping the commenter wouldn’t regret their words as they got older.

I believe in accepting the aging process with poise. Shannon possesses a rare combination of skill, grace, and kindness, which is why he’s the best.
