Gordon Ramsay surprises daughter Tilly during her kitchen shift in his Michelin-star restaurant after insisting ‘I’m not a big fan of that nepo-baby stuff’

Gordon Ramsay unexpectedly visited his daughter Tilly while she was working in the kitchen at his restaurant, just days after publicly discussing the topic of ‘nepo babies’ – children of famous parents.

While on The Graham Norton Show Friday, the celebrity chef stated he isn’t interested in the ‘nepo baby’ trend, while discussing his new documentary.

On Sunday, a video posted to Instagram showed Gordon Ramsay, 59, unexpectedly arriving at his flagship restaurant, Restaurant Gordon Ramsay.

He was calling to see how his 24-year-old daughter, who wants to be a chef, was doing. He mentioned he hoped she was picking up valuable skills from working with renowned chef Kim Ratcharoen.

Tilly was surprised and delighted to see her father enter the kitchen, bursting into laughter and running to hug him.

She seemed thrilled to see Gordon, who clearly beamed with pride as he kissed the top of her head. He then asked how her day with Kim had been.

He shared a heartwarming video with the caption: ‘There’s nothing better than surprising Tilly Ramsay while she’s working at Restaurant Gordon Ramsay! Well done, Kim Ratcharoen, and I hope you learned a lot, Dad x’

In the Netflix series Being Gordon Ramsay, the famous chef became visibly moved when he assisted his daughter, Tilly, in purchasing her first chef’s uniform.

While appearing on the Graham Norton show, Gordon Ramsay discussed the term ‘nepo baby’ alongside guests Charli XCX, Benicio del Toro, Jennifer Garner, and Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters.

Gordon was clearly impressed with Tilly’s cooking, becoming emotional as he remembered her time at culinary school in Cork and her subsequent return to London to work alongside him.

Proud of his daughter’s talent and dedication, he jokingly said he doesn’t believe in advantages gained through family connections.

Before playing the video, Graham commented on some touching father-daughter moments, then introduced a clip of Tilly. He explained that Tilly is now studying catering.

Gordon said he had just finished something and was disappointed that the woman he was talking about didn’t want to work at any of his restaurants. She ended up going to Ballymaloe in County Cork instead.

‘Yeah, she spent an amazing time there training to come back to the fold.’

Graham then played a clip from the documentary showing Tilly receiving her first chef’s uniform after finishing her cooking course.

Gordon appeared moved as Tilly tried on the chef’s uniform, and he gently helped her fasten it.

Gordon, a proud father, asked to take a photo, then became visibly emotional, saying, ‘I can’t believe how much you like that!’ He immediately added that he would send the picture to his wife.

‘My little girl’s got all cheffy. Ahhh. I’ll send it to my family. Incredible.’

Gordon mentioned he’s never been a fan of ‘Nepo stuff’ while talking about being proud on the red couch.

I’ve always believed that the key to a fulfilling life is to discover what you love, know your value, and forge your own path instead of simply following others. Be yourself and embrace your unique qualities.

These individuals – a former police officer, a Royal Marine Commando, a chef, and a fashion professional named Holly – have all discovered what they’re truly passionate about.

I didn’t want to create a stressful situation for the team with Gordon Ramsay’s children present, or feel like I was walking on eggshells. So, I told them, ‘Please don’t take this the wrong way, but it would be best if you went to a top cooking school, gained some experience, and then came back to impress him with your skills.’

‘Yeah, and she’s done just that.’

Gordon and his wife, Tana, have five children: Megan, 27, Holly and Jack, both 26, Oscar, 6, and Jesse, 2.
