Prince William and Kate attend BAFTA Film Awards for the first time in 3 years

Prince William and Princess Catherine attended the BAFTA Film Awards this evening, marking their first appearance at the event in three years. They arrived at the Royal Festival Hall in London, where the awards ceremony was held.

Prince William went to the BAFTAs by himself in 2024, and no members of the royal family were there the year before. This year marks the first time he and Kate have attended together since 2023, before Kate was diagnosed with cancer.

Earlier today, Kate and the Prince made a stylish appearance on the red carpet, seeming to coordinate their outfits. Kate wore a pink and cream gown with a velvet belt, and the Prince wore a burgundy velvet jacket over a white shirt and bowtie.

At the ceremony, Prince William will give Dame Donna Langley, the head of NBCUniversal Entertainment, the prestigious BAFTA Fellowship Award.

I was so thrilled to see her win! This award really shows how much she’s given to the world of film, and it’s amazing because it’s the biggest honor the Academy can give anyone.

Emma Stone, Kate Hudson, Jessie Buckley, Rose Byrne, Chase Infiniti, and Renate Reinsve—all nominated for Leading Actress—were also among the stars on this year’s red carpet.

The stars truly shone with their diverse fashion choices, sporting beautiful dresses that ranged from sleek and elegant to bold and simple – all in a variety of colors, but equally stunning.

Okay, so the guys up for Leading Actor really brought their A-game too. DiCaprio, Chalamet, and Jordan? Seriously sharp suits, they all looked amazing and totally effortless.

I was so thrilled to see Jordan get his first BAFTA nomination this year! He totally deserved it for playing both Smoke and Stack in Sinners – it was an incredible performance. And on top of that, he even got to present at the ceremony, which is amazing!

Cillian Murphy from Peaky Blinders, Kate Hudson, Milly Alcock of Supergirl, Aimee Lou Wood from Sex Education, Miles Caton, and even Paddington Bear will be presenters at the awards show. Alan Cumming is hosting, and he’s planning a bold and glamorous look for the occasion.

The EE BAFTA Film Awards airs at 7pm tonight on BBC One and iPlayer.
