Sophie Habboo led the stars getting glammed up ahead of the star-studded BAFTAs 2026.
On Sunday evening, the Royal Festival Hall at the Southbank Centre will host a showcase of the best new films.
Sophie, a former star of the reality show Made In Chelsea, shared a moment on her Instagram Story while getting her hair done by well-known stylist Willis Galbraith.
The mother seemed thrilled to be getting special treatment before the event. She started out comfortably dressed in a matching grey outfit, then changed into a beautiful gown.
She’ll be co-hosting the red carpet event with her husband, Jamie Laing. He posted a photo of her getting ready on social media, jokingly calling their hotel room ‘chaos’.
The video featured Sophie surrounded by stylists and a camera crew, likely filming a reality show about her journey into parenthood.
This year’s awards ceremony, hosted by Alan Cumming, will celebrate the year’s best films and feature stars like Leonardo DiCaprio, Timothée Chalamet, Jacob Elordi, and Michael B. Jordan.

The show will feature a star-studded lineup of guest hosts, including Aimee Lou Wood, Alicia Vikander, Cillian Murphy, Ethan Hawke, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Sadie Sink, and Stormzy.
The Royal Festival Hall will host appearances by stars like Kerry Washington, Minnie Driver, Monica Bellucci, Patrick Dempsey, and Regé-Jean Page, as well as many other notable figures.
The evening’s entertainment will feature a variety of performers, including the very first performance outside of the US by KPop group KPop Demon Hunters. They’ll be performing their hit track “Golden,” with vocals from JAE, AUDREYNUNA, and REI AMI – the singers behind HUNTR/X.
During the In Memoriam segment, British singer Jessie Ware will honor the deceased with a touching performance of a song originally by Barbara Streisand.
This year, Dame Donna Langley will receive BAFTA’s highest honor, the Fellowship Award, as part of the Special Awards ceremony.
The head of NBCUniversal Entertainment, a British executive, will be honored for her long and successful career. She’s widely considered one of the most important and admired leaders in the entertainment world.
Clare Binns, Creative Director at Picture House Cinemas, will receive the BAFTA Outstanding British Contribution to Cinema award.
This award acknowledges her dedication to supporting unique and varied films shown in cinemas across the UK.
Everyone anticipates many wins for Paul Thomas Anderson’s new film, which received an impressive fourteen nominations this year.
However, it’s up against strong contenders, including the horror film Sinners, which received thirteen nominations, and Hamnet, a poignant drama directed by Chloé Zhao about the loss of Shakespeare’s son, earning eleven nominations.
Based on Maggie O’Farrell’s acclaimed novel, the film Hamnet—which explores the family life of William Shakespeare—has received a record number of BAFTA nominations for a film directed by a woman.
Jessie Buckley, the Irish actress, is up for an award for her performance in the film, following wins at the Golden Globes and Critics Choice Awards, and nominations from both the Academy Awards and the Screen Actors Guild.
Paul Mescal, a fellow actor in the film who wasn’t nominated for an Oscar, is also up for an award, having received a BAFTA nomination for Best Supporting Actor.
Marty Supreme and Timothée Chalamet are hoping for continued success after receiving eleven BAFTA nominations – including for Best Film and Best Actor – building on their recent wins at the Golden Globes and Critics Choice Awards.
Both Frankenstein and Sentimental Value received eight nominations. I Swear and Bugonia each earned five nominations, while The Ballad of Wallis Island, Pillion, and F1 received three nominations apiece.
The nominees for the Leading Actress BAFTA Award include Rose Byrne, recognized for her role in ‘If I Had Legs I’d Kick You’; Kate Hudson for ‘Song Sung Blue’; Chase Infiniti for ‘One Battle After Another’; Renate Reinsve for ‘Sentimental Value’; and Emma Stone for ‘Bugonia’.
Leonardo DiCaprio has been nominated for a BAFTA for the seventh time, and could potentially win his second award for his performance as the lead actor in the critically acclaimed film, One Battle After Another.
This year’s BAFTA Film Awards have a fresh group of first-time nominees, including Robert Aramayo, Odessa A’zion, Rose Byrne, Chase Infiniti, Michael B. Jordan, Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas, Stellan Skarsgård, and Teyana Taylor.
Emma Baehr, who leads awards and content at BAFTA, expressed excitement about welcoming this year’s talented nominees to London for the EE BAFTA Film Awards. She described the event as a lively celebration of the artistry, skill, and teamwork behind both British and international films.
